I was watching the old Tim Burton Batman and I loved the scene where he has returned and is trying to get his face fixed and a the doctor is unwrapping his gauze and saying "it was the best I could do" and I loved it and thought why hasn't anyone else worked with a scene like this in recreating the joker.

I had a feeling that was it. This drawing make me wish we might have seen Joker with the bandages on for a brief moment before he ripped them off.
