Description ---Inspiration for Map: The Czar's A E S T H E T I C by ToixStory---

---This Scenario is purely fictional and not meant to offend anyone --

After almost 4 years of economic depression, misrule, and scandalous activities, the United States finally collapsed into civil war. When in 2021, the Treaty of Wilmington was signed, officially ending the Second American Civil War, the United States ceased to exist. The Collapse of the "world's sole remaining superpower" left behind a major power vacuum, with many ambitious nations trying to fill the void. As the stock market crashed a recession, on the scale of the Great Depression, was sent across the globe. Nations fell apart, extremist seized power and friends turned into enemies...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
China: The End of the States proved to be the China's greatest opportunity, but also its worst nightmare. When the first blood of the American Civil War was bleed the Chinese Government started a massive military build-up, fearing that its citizens would rise up and bring an end to the People's Republic. China was one of the first and hardest hit by the recession. Ethnic minorities and political dissidents started uprisings and threatened to march on Beijing and put an end to the Regime. However, the People's Liberation Army was quick and brutal in ending those "puny revolts" and then the Chinese government itself. The new Military Dictatorship knew that it would find itself in a precarious situation if it did not act fast, so to distract the populace, it invaded the collapsing North Korean State, incorporating the parts that were not already taken over by South Korea. Many of the so-called "Enemies of the state" fled to Mongolia, when the PLA took over, all that was reason enough for China, to invade and annex it. When the United States Pacific Fleet retreated from the area, it left Taiwan and the South China Sea relatively unprotected, this was a chance that China could not let go to waste. The resulting war against SEATO and Taiwan lasted for 4 years but was ultimately won by China, leaving it as the sole Controller of the South China Sea. While China has become the strongest Country in this new multipolar world and its reformation into the Pan-Asiatic Cooperative has eased ethnic tensions, it is surrounded by an "anti-Chinese alliance" stretching from India to Indonesia, to the south and Russia, keen on regaining the Chinese backed breakaway republic of Transcathay, to the north.

India: India did not fare any better than its northern nemesis. When the recession hit Asia, India was plagued with revolts and instability. This, in combination with the aggressive behavior of China and increase in violent weather, led to the countries in the Indian subcontinent joining together to form the Indian Union, thinking they might bring peace and prosperity to the subcontinent. When revolts in Kashmir broke out, only a UN-Intervention prevented total war between Pakistan and the newly formed Indian Union. Nonetheless, in the last few years, it became clear, with the once powerful enemy Pakistan embroiled in a bloody civil war, an expansionist and surrounded China and the "powderkeg" of Central Asia stepping ever closer to Explosion, the fate of the Indian Union is still up in the air.

Russia: Without a Euro-American "Police" watching Russia's every step, it was able to expand once more, annexing breakaway nations like the Donbass, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and Transnistria, however its "forceful" incorporation of Belarus, following the Belarusian "Cyan Revolution", its proxy conflicts in the Arctic and a land grab at the ever more distant growing Kazakhstan, earned Russia a reputation as a warmonger. Despite its "bad boy" attitude, many disgruntled European nations found themselves as new allies to the Union State.

Europe: The Collapse of America was a hard shock for the Nations of Europe. As separatism and nationalism swept across Europe, the European Union shattered into regional alliances. Eastern and East-Central Europe under the Leadership of Poland banned together to Counter increasing Russian aggression in the Region. The Balkans fell into old Habits, becoming pawns in other nations power games. Politics in Western and West-Central Europe shifted to the left, causing damage to the relations between the right-wing Polish-led Trimarium and the remnants of the European Union now called the European Entente. Northern Europe gave up their pacifistic ways to combat Russia's Arctic Ambitions and increasing sea levels. The United Kingdom faded into insignificance after the independence of Scotland and the embarrassing defeat it suffered following the conclusion of the second Falklands War in Argentina's favor.

Africa: Life in most of Africa was only modestly changed, African Nationalist seized power in South Africa, The Congo was divided by its neighbours, internal and ethnic struggles led to the downfall of Cameroon and the destruction of the Islamic State and the following partition of the Mashriq led to an Exodus of radical Islamist into the Sahel. Despite all the conflicts, in the last decade, Africa has seen many improvements, Chinese investments helped to build basic infrastructure in numerous countries, the East African Federation "evolved" into a Bastion of Democracy and Western Africa under the United Republics of Latin Africa is working together to fix its regional issues.

America/The Americas: The collapse of the American World Order, changed the continent forever, as for the first time, the Latin-American nations became players on the global stage. when the Civil War in America was unfolding, Argentia took advantage of the unstable Situation it created in the United Kingdom and invaded the Falklands trying to claim it, in a surprising move, Brazil decided to support Argentina's side. After 7 Month of fighting, the Falklands were occupied and the United Kingdom agreed to sign a peace treaty, giving the Falklands and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands to Argentina, while Brazil received Saint Helena, Ascension, and Tristan da Cunha. Great Britain also relinquished its claim on its Antarctic Territory, which was then equally divided by Argentina and Chile following the Treaty of Ushuaia. Climate Change led to several Caribbean countries merging together and the humanitarian situation in Haiti worsening, resulting in a total collapse of civilian order, so the country was placed under UN administration. Due to increasing globalization, the Central American nations came together as two power blocks, the Chinese backed Republic of Centroamérica and the progressive and environmentalist Confederación. Brazil finally crumbled after years of corruption and the economic fallout following the collapse of the United States, leading to the independence of Southern Brazil and the Amazonian Free State, a new heaven for many freethinkers and Members of the New Age Hippie Movement. The Nation of Alta Norte, which declared itself independent during the Civil War, was left with a reasonably large English-speaking minority and lots of ethnic tensions. Many Euro-Americans still held many ties, emotionally or otherwise to the former United States and not all of them were content being governed by Hispanic Americans. Quickly separatist movements like the "Sons and Daughters of Liberty", "Blood of America" or the "Columbian Freedom Front" rose up in Rebellion and started their guerrilla war in most of Southern Texas and New Mexico, supported by foreign nations such as the United Southern States. Only after Alta Norte elevated English to the Position of Official language and granted many concessions to the Anglo-American Community, a peace treaty could be brokered between the separatists and government.

Canada: The Treaty of Wilmington gave Canada sovereignty over Alaska and the US-Puppet State of Greenland, it also put Atlantica and New York firmly under Canadian protection. The unexpected death of Queen Elizabeth II and the following abolishment of the Monarchy in the United Kingdom, thanks to mass protests, left Canada as a republic for the first time, since its foundation. Canada was a safe haven for many American refugees and immigrants escaping rising xenophobia in Europe and Australia, this in combination with Canada's rising birth rate caused Canada's Population to reach 55 Million. When the ice started to melt in the Canadian Arctic, Canada started to intensely colonize and industrialize the area, settling many of the "New Arrivals" in its Northern Territories and along the Northwestern Passage, much to the dismay of the local indigenous Population. Canada is still recovering from the crisis it suffered 2 years ago, when protests escalate and a coalition of Arctic First Nations declared themselves Independent, it became known as the "Northern Rebellion". And in the last few years voices in Quebec, calling for independence, have started to become increasingly louder.

Polar regions: With the scrapping of Antarctic Treaty and climate change making Areas in the 60th parallel north easier to exploit, The polar regions have become battlefields. Canada's expansion into Greenland and its acquisition of Alaska following the American Civil War caused enmity between Canadians and Russians, who both started to see the North Pole as the rightful backyard of their respective nations. Russian backed Rebellions such as the "Northern Rebellion" and several uprisings in Greenland and Svalbard, led to the famous Berlin Conference which regulated the division of Antarctica and the establishment of the Arctic Protection Zone, all participants also agreed to the declaration of the Arctic as an "Area of non-aggression". Since the Berlin Conference, several "pirate" factions have formed, these pirates primarily focus on conducting raids on shipping routes, taking hostages and attacking military vessels, most famous or better said infamous are the Canadian sponsored "White Corsairs" and the Russian backed "Neo-Ushkuiniks".
