Description 2090-Northern America

SAU-Standard Articulation Unit

It wasn't until 6 years after the first Breather was built that an actual SAU could be finished and issued into combat. The SAU features a similar micro nuclear system as the AMMSR in that it uses thorium salts to fuel the reaction but since reverse engineering one wasn't an option Nine Corp decided to develop their own version of the AMMSR and the result was a similar, larger version with a much higher output than the AMMSR. However it is the size of four AMMSRs it has 30% the output that four AMMSRs would have while being a similar size. Unfortunately the Nine Corp version could not be reduced in size so it is restrained to larger and more expensive models of SAU.

Interesting design, sort of feels like it is a more realistic approach of Metal Gear Rex, which is good in its own way

I know it sounds cool to the authors, but I have learned that using acronyms within one's own fiction does nothing for a person who is unfamiliar with it, and may even alienate the reader unless the full name has been used before.

That's a good point, i'll refrain from doing that from now on. thanks!

Eh, acronyms are okay, if you define them. I always like to put a definition in parenthesis right after the first time I use an acronym. That way, I can be lazy and blame the reader if they didn't read the definition when it was given, when I continue to use acronyms.

Actually one of the most worthwhile comments I have seen, in contrast of your avatar.
