finally finished my joker-drawing, it was a very good exercise to work on my technique. i learned alot but i think i could have done better in some cases but it got pretty boring in the end..... i think that drawing was just to big for me........ oh yeah, lucky me^^ 3 more joker-faces to go xD

btw so far its my biggest drawing ever
paper: fabriano disegno 4 Din B2 (70x50cm) 220g/mΒ², 1 joker-face is 29,5 x 23,5cm
tools: mechanical pencil - kuru toga 0,3mm/0,5mm B-2B, brush, microfibre cloth, q-tips, mitsu-bishi hi-uni H-10B
time: a lot more than 50+ hours

The moment I figured out how to draw realistic portraits Jack's Joker was the firs thing I drew! He looks amazing!

This is amazing! Was all of this done by hand, or did some computer effects lend a hand? Either way, I am very impressed!! The detailing is incredible. I can't even imagine how much time and patience this took. And, of course, who doesn't love the Joker?

I find the Jack Nicholson Joker a lot easier to draw because he doesn't have scars, just a VERY wide grin.

Whoah man....i'm going to tell you what you've probably heard a LOT of times, this work is just amazing..really props, it was after the 3rd look i realized it's actually a drawing, and what got me excited was the fact that it was all on paper, with pencils and plain talent...not that pc stuff. I would really like you to give me a few tips on how you use the whites in such detail to create reflections and texture, if you could spare the time that is.

ermm well its actually hard to describe how to do that since its a long process in which you put layers of dots and lines, blend, erase etc
ill try my best:
to get that skin texture hmm... i think to use a brush for blending is the best way to achieve that. it wont smudge the pencil strokes/lines and these are important to create that illusion. the direction of the pencil strokes is also very important, you have to adapt the lines to the shape of the face/wrinkles. in the end i always take use of a sharpened eraser to put some highlighted lines into the skin - last but not least blend it with the help of the brush once again
