Yes, in fact, he does have a ponytail. ^^
It should stop about two to three inches past his shoulders.

It was another day in the ship. The french capitain François Lusieux was on his way for Havana. Then he spotted them, pirates. He jumped over board to see the pirates from near. Then slowly climbed on the ship.

''Draw back the anchor, loose the sails, men!''
The man stood tall as he adressed his crew. He struck quite the image in his long velvet jacket, a bright red that stood out from the crowds.
He grinned as they busily started obeying his orders, turning to pat the left shoulder of the man that came up to the helm.

The french capitain, François tilted his head "eh Bonjour. I come from far away to serve the order. Though. I was thinkinh you could help me here"
The ship not far away from them, François" ship, la Liberté, was standing still "I don't trust the English or spanish. So why won't I see you, mon ami. Pirates are friends" he grinned back

The captain looked down the steps to where François stood on the starboard side of the main deck, a speculative look in his eye.
He took a step down toward him.
''Aye, what's your name, sailor?'' He glanced along the deck as he signaled to his crew.

"François Lusieux. " he said leaning on the boat "Got aond by the order to find some things and set thing alright, Kenway screwed up" the frenchman looked around, scanning his surroundings. Then noticed the step closer looking back into Josephs eyes

Josephe furrowed his brow, coming to stand a few steps near the bottom of the stairs to be more level with François's gaze.
''You seek to take passage, then, François Lusieux?'' he attempted making a proper accent as he pronounced the name, raising an eyebrow.
His crew had crowded around the two curiously.

"I don't trust the fremch or spanish. You are my onky friend here, mon ami. If I help you getting rid of them I can pass ok?" François looked around, at the crew. "And what is your name. Capitain?"

He couldn't quite pin if he was hearing him correctly, though he assumed that the message was fairly clear that François wanted to join.
''Fair enough.'' he took another two steps down, nodding once to the frenchman.
''Josephe; Captain Josephe Bellamy. And this here,'' he gestured with arms spread out on either side, ''is the Mary Anne.''

"Mary Anne" he repeated following him "do you have a black flag? If the english men see us they will kill us, with our french flag. " the frenchman said smiling

Josephe grinned cockily.
"But of course! Should you need one, I'd be more than happy to oblige you with a spare." he crossed his arms, walking a bit further to step onto the main deck, stopping to turn toward the frenchman from behind.
"I don't suppose you were one of the queen's men, were you? A privateer, perhaps?"

"Queen? If we had one I would spit on her like I spit on our king" said François following the capitain "I may be aristocrat but I fight for freedom. That's why I called my ship Liberté."

''Well than,'' he started, keeping the pace. ''that's something the two of us can agree on!''
He grinned at François, leading him down to the hold.

"Sure we can" he said following behind. "But may I ask you a question" François suddenly stopped and putted his hands on his hips

Josephe took another step before he, too, had stopped. He turned to look over his shoulder at the Frenchman, raising an eyebrow.
"Depends. What's your question?"

"I have to ask you a favour. Just a little one. May you havw a bottle of rum or whine fir me?" He asked stretching out his hand "just one"

Josephe turned to face him, a small chuckle escaping.
''Is that it? Of course you can!'' he put his hands on his hips. ''No man in his right mind would deny a pirate his drink. This way!'' he ushered him over with a wave of his hand.

"Ah Merci!" He said "I haven't drunk in ages by now. We got our of alcohol so fast" the frenchman followed him, now settled his mind, this man is not an enemie but a good friend

Once they'd reached the store, he reached for a bottle and tossed it over to François.
