Got the idea to draw this off of the raining scene in the Croods, when Guy pulls out his umbrella and shares it with Eep.

So, yeah. and I collectively agreed that BB8 should bump Rey's knee, pushing her under the umbrella.
There may be a comic going along with this... BB8 and Kylo don't get along very well, and there shall be a story behind that.
By the way, the light up part of the umbrella is harmless; it's just for lighting and effect.
