This is my entry to a raffle by SunlessRose , and is my take on her creatures, the Parasites.
Parasites, for those who don't know, are interdimensional creatures that exist in a void-like parallel universe and feed on human suffering.
These one is called Baphomet, a Parasite who revels in knowledge, trickery, and manipulation. He enjoys conning mortals and incentivizing them to cause chaos and destruction. Centuries ago, he tried to match wits with King Solomon and almost succeeded in tricking the ancient Hebrew king into trading his soul for arcane knowledge, but was ultimately banished back to his void-like dimension. In the 1700s, he reappears as a familiar who attaches himself to a young Maximillian Robespierre, an idealist whom he takes an interest in and who he sees as a kind of puppet that he can use to fill the world with more suffering.
