Description
As I said, the first installment of the Alien franchise is one of my favorite films about a scary but very attractive alien. But my favorite part, of all the movies, is the Aliens movie.
If the first part was more of a space horror, then the second part became an excellent action movie, with horror elements.
Skirmishes with Xenomorphs, colorful characters, great special effects, amazing atmosphere of horror and, of course, the Queen of Xenomorphs.
Although she is disgusting at first sight, however, unlike other representatives of her kind, she is one of the most attractive. The scene when Ripley threatens the Queen that she will destroy the eggs - in which the offspring of the Queen is located, and she, realizing this, drives away the rest of her relatives - says a lot.
He says that the Queen is the same mother, with the same maternal instincts, who takes care of her offspring. Yes, the Xenomorphs themselves are not the most pleasant creatures, but if you delve into their biology and behavior, you understand that they are just as alive and quite reasonable creatures.
Unfortunately, in recent films,
they are presented as embittered monsters, with the usual motivation to kill. However, in the first parts it was clear what the director wanted to show. To show that even such seemingly scary monsters are capable of thinking, they are also driven by the instinct of reproduction and the continuation of offspring. And the Xenomorph Queen herself is the personification of a caring mother
.
I'm not trying to justify the aggressive behavior of the Xenomorphs, however, I hope that many will discover this universe in a new way, and understand that this is not just a couple of films about aliens that kill, but understand that these are much deeper works.
