Description
Characters from the novel, The Mortal Instruments.I went to see the movie last week, and found that I did not really understand the story so I bought the book to read instead.
Now I am reading book III. I love the story so far and all the characters are very fun to draw
Sorry for very dirty drawing, but after I spend almost 10 hours per day sitting in front of the computer at the office, I suddenly miss drawing by pencil. It was very fun but also very dirty. Hope you do not mind

Note Those sketches inspired by the movie, but most are based on my imagination (esp for Magnus and Alec >///////< LOL) So forgive me, if there is anything wrong about them, okay?

Lovely. This looks like a page in a gaming manual or like an extra page in a manga or so. It looks super gorgeous, neat and cool. I am in love with it.Β Especially adore how Alec and Magnus have been drawn this large and appear to be the ones the story revolves around isntead of Clary and Jace.Β Love Alec's sullen regard.Β He looks like the emotionless hero whose shell needs to get cracked during the adventure.Β Magnus looks yummy with his shirt open and lose like this.Β And his facial expression makes you feel like he is older one of the gang.Β The wise one they can turn to when they need advice.Β Isabelle looks pretty and it may just be me but I trully find that you can see here that she and Alec are siblings.Β Like Clary's big eyes and the way her hair is drawn.Β And Jace trully looks like the snarky, talented fighter you can rely on when the going gets though ...Β Trully fantastic work!

I don't know much about the actors, but recently I was suggested by my friend to watch the tv movie, TOAST. Have you ever watched it?
And I totally fall in love with Freddie Highmore's 45 seconds kiss scene and Freddie Highmore himself. Skinny, messy hair, beautiful eyes, that's exactly my idealistic Alec. He even influenced my drawing for Alec's hair style >///<

sjafkljsadlkfjsadkjal! YES. AHHHH! I love it when people draw how they imagine these characters. (This is my favorite book series also. Once you finish all five of this series this one, try her other prequel series "The Infernal Devices". You will not be disappointed!) You captured them really well. I didn't mind the movie's interpretation of the actors, but I feel that they did seem a bit...off in description. I mean, Alec's eighteen, not in his twenties. Ha ha. But anyway, this is great. (Still flipping out. Sorry for the terrible comment. ;u; )
I'm gushing over Magnus and Alec. Favorite character arc in the books. Magnus steals my heart every time. <3

Thanks for your suggestion for The infernal devices. I got a lot of comments saying that they are very good. Unfortunately, they have not been translated yet in my country. After I finish book 4&5 of this series, I will try to find the English version to read

Ah. Well, that stinks. Hopefully soon they'll be translated and available! I almost preferred "The Infernal Devices" over "The Mortal Instruments", but it's also a much more emotionally-charged series and tends to focus down more on the central character's conflicts then "The Mortal Instruments" does. But that's probably just because I'm a sap and love reading inner turmoil. >.>; But yes! Pick it up when you can!
Well, try not to freak out, buuuut...Claire is writing a series called "The Bane Chronicles", which follows Magnus' life from before the books all the way up to "The Mortal Instruments". They're short stories, but with Claire's writing and the character himself, I'm sure they're good. If you're interested in Claire's works, you can check it out here:

AND OMG Don't make me choose!!!! Ha ha ha! For me, it's situational. Most of the time I prefer Magnus to be the dominant one, however...Alec makes a sexy top when he wants to. And for some reason, I think Magnus would enjoy pulling the more confident side out of Alec. Hurr.
