Description
Hi dearies!
Well, I still don't have everything I need to do my traditional drawings, and I've been dying to draw so... I gave a try to Photoshop! This is the first time I do something from scratch with it so I'm not used to drawing with it AT ALL, in fact, I began this portrait in the afternoon and just finished it (it's 10.30 pm here! xD), I have to admit that even though I don't feel comfortable drawing this way... DAMN I LOVE HOW THE LINES LOOK WITH IT!! Q u Q
Anyway... I'm sure that I'll keep doing this until I'm completely ready to get back to my pencils since I really want to draw, so... you'll see more of my OCs portraited in Photoshop! Probably Karina will be next... or maybe you can tell me which one of my OCs you'd like me to give a try in Photoshop!

I hope you like it!

Lyon belongs to me!

Thank you! Ah, weeeeell... hmmm, I don't know if I'll keep on trying once I get all the stuff I need to do traditional again or maybe I will! Who knows, maybe I'll use Photoshop to do linearts!

O u O Thank youuuu! I have to admit even though I like the result, I still feel weird when I look at it! xD

Well, a project I did for English was depicting a scene from Hamlet, which I did in a digital drawing. It was fully digital, and I almost threw my tablet at the screen when attempting to do the background. So, I flat coloured and submitted it.

I love those lines too *-* I can tell that some of them werent as steady, but that's just my screen. XP
I cheat and use SAI's vector layers cause I'm a lazy bish <3

Lol! xD Patience is essential when trying something like this! Believe me, I wanted to do the exact same thing while I was doing this! x'D But patience gave me this result! ^^
Lololol!! I haven't tried SAI, I don't even know how it works xP I'm too into traditional!

I know. I just fund it easier because my hand is the most unsteady thing possible and my tablet is really, really old (2003 model... The old sapphire bamboo tablets.)

SAI is the same as Photoshop, only more of the painting interface. You can rotate the canvas pretty easily too.

Loooool, I think I might have the same one as you! x'D My husband got it for me yeeeaaars ago and I still use it! That's when I did several digital pics, now I use it to clean lines and edit my pics on photoshop when I scan them, that's it

It's a Wacom Sapphire. xP

Photoshop for me is for doing assignments quickly (I love to play with photographs and brushes. Its quite amusing to me :3), or for adjusting images before posting x.x;

And you were saying "It's going to look horrible!"

I NEVER BELIEVED THAT SENTENCE! >:3

MrsMagalink In reply to alpha00zero [2013-02-13 00:32:08 +0000 UTC]

Lolol!! Well, I have to admit that I wasn't quite sure what to expect as a result, I find myself feeling uncomfortable drawing with it and it's like I lose complete perspective of what's in front of me on the computer without looking where the pen goes, it's just a matter of me being too used to have a sheet and look on it as I draw and also, I had to be veeeeeery patient! More than once I was going to call it a day, but the voice that said "No! Finish it today!" won xD

It's a matter of practice.

When I got my tablet 6 months ago, it took me a while to get used to eye/hand coordination.

But it's worth it. Just look at that portrait!

MrsMagalink In reply to alpha00zero [2013-02-14 13:01:58 +0000 UTC]

Yep! That's what I always say! I will surely keep on doing these to practice, since I'm thinking about doing lines with photoshop, it's better for my neck and therefore my health! and OMG thank youuuuu!!

alpha00zero In reply to MrsMagalink [2013-02-14 14:35:48 +0000 UTC]

Glad to know it you are feeling better!

As for me, not so much. I get a stiff neck. But it's better then the pain I used to endure just to keep drawing!

MrsMagalink In reply to alpha00zero [2013-02-26 11:15:26 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I have that too all the time and my posture when I draw is terrible xD that's why it makes my neck hurt so much, but if I were to do the lines in photoshop from now on it would hurt less ^^ this shitty condition is so random when it comes to pain, I just got used to work around it
