Description Simple Findings: 1
You would think I knew what I was doing. You would think I had plan everything out so everything would move smoothly. If your just uning in let me recap on the situation.
I walked into the book store feeling sure of my plan. My plan to rob the place of at least two hundred dollars.
"Mam," The front desk clerk/cashier began to ask me. "May I help you with any thing?" I was a good actor but if I was going to commit a crime I would have to put my un used acting skills to the test.
"Yes." I said in a cheery tone as I walked up to the front desk. The store clerk was pretty. Short, curly brown hair. Rosey cheeks, and shiney green eyes. COmpared to me she could be considered a canedet for the show, "America's Next Top Model". I had choppy shoulder length blonde hair from a failed pixie cut. Ant trail freckles and ugly square, brown glassesthat covered her crystal blue eyes. The only thing people ever complimented her on.
"Well, are you looking for anything in particular? I can help you find anything we even have a special, buy a whole series for half the sales price." Her perky smile made me blush, how I envyed her.
"Well I have been looking for this certain series. Twelve?"
"Oh, that knew vampire romance?"
"Yes! That's it." I looked calm on the the outside and I made a convinceing ugly thirteen year old girl who perfered to read over haveing friends and only wanted to get her books and leave. Besides for the leaveing with bought books that was all true.
"Hmm, I dont think those are on the shelves yet,"  Shit. I forgot that they werent on the shelves yet! I thought to myself. "But Ill go see if I have them in the back for you." She winked at me and left the counter and wlked by me down one of the long rows of books to probebly where the, "back" was.
When she was out of site I rushed behind the cash register and pressed the button to open it. I saw a stack of hundreds, fifties, twenties, the whole sha-bang. As I opened my shoulder bag getting ready to load money into it when a younge girl with curly blonde pig tales came running up to the counter.
"This one pu-lease!" she said in a cute little happy tone. I was stunned for a moment as I looked her over. She was dress in all pink and the book she had placed on the counter was, "Barbie on Treasure Island."
"Uh-" I didnt know quite what to say. A women with darker blonde hair and a mature smile came walking up behind the child.
She luaphed. "Its her birthday and she's had alittle-" she picked up the girl and held her with her with one arm and started digging through her simple brown purse. "to much sugar." She pulled out her wallet.
I smiled and closed my bag and grabbed the book and ran it up on the cash register. The younge girl smile with glee when I handed the book back to her.
"Yay! Mommy thank you!" She shouted as her pig tales jumped up and down. "Now for Icecream!" she said grabbing her mother's hand and dragging her out the stores door.
"Do you really need more sugar?" The mother said in a sarcastic tone and a luaph.
I luaphed at them as they left then saw the cashier walk up to the the desk. I imediatly went stiff. Fear took over me and I knew my plan had be foiled.
"You were very proffesional with that." she said to me. I was confused and nervous and my mind was blank.
"Uh,...that?" I asked in a hesitant tone.
"That women and her kid. You handled that very well." She smiled a reasurring smile but I was still at a loss.
"Oh, Um...yeah. You were in the back and she came running up so I took care of it....for you..." She luaphed at me like I was a confused little child. Which to her, I probebly was.
"How would you like a job?"
"Here?!" I asked shocked from the sudden offer.
"Yes! My dad's friend owns this shop and has been asking me to hire some new help becuase ill be going to college in the next month. How would you like to take my place?"
"Uh-" I really didnt know what to say.
"I would come on the weekends and my dad's friend would work the week days from opening at eight to two forty-five. Thats the time your school gets out right?" She was feeding me alot of information that took me a second to process through my brain.
"You do know im only thirteen right?"
"Details, details! The pay is three times the minimal wage and the store closes at nine which is a desent time." She gave me anouther smile that me blush once again at how pretty she was.
"Um-" I started to say before she ran behind the desk and took my hands in her like a couple of best friends would if they were freaking out in joy over something.
"PLEASE!" she whined in a stessed tone. "I keep getting these college drop outs and one old guy who has always bribed me with a beer for the job."
I luaphed at her hisarical comment on the old man.
"It's not funny!" she said falling into her own luaphter. "So will you?"
I thought for alittle bit. I would be breaking my promice to myself, but on the other hand I would get to read books all day;  Ide get to meet new people and get paid.
"Sure, why not?" She jumped up while pulling me into a short hug.
"Oh, yes! Finaly, some one to youge to have anything wrong with them!" Well thats not true. "Im Maple." She held out a fine manicured hand out.
I took it and said, "Aane."
Aane stared out into her soon to be gone classmates. Some faces were filled with luaphter, some with weired out expressions. The teacher after she glanced up from them to him had one of shock.
"Miss. Muandrell!" the teacher known as Mr. Steily began to shout.
"Uh, I dont like the "miss" tittle. Just call me by my name." Aane said to the balding, overweight, sweaty english teacher.
"Miss-"
"Screw it." Aane dropped her paper on the teachers desk and began to walk out of the room.
Just as she was going to reach the door, Jake probebly one of the most popluar guy in thier grade stoped her.
"What was your promice to your self?"  he asked her.
"That I would run away from this hell-hole." She said bluntly. Joke luaphed an brushed his hair through his short dirtly blonde hair. then looked back up at her. His blue eyes with a hint a brown full of amusement.
"I dont think Vermont will have anymore fun after tonight." Jake said. The amusement now in his voice.
Aane leaned down, placed her hand on the corners of his desk and put her face right up into his. "Well, New York wont have you so yes, it shall be boreing here and not there cuase we all know im the life in our little relationship. Oh wait, what relationship?" She pushed her self off the desk and walked out of the room right as Jake's girlfriend who could be barbie in the flesh wacked him on the head.
Aane had no regrets leaving her school. She had no friends. She had always avoided makeing them ever since she moved there when she was thirteen. She had wanted to leave the very month she had arrived but becuase of the book store she decided to stay.
Her foster family of three years were now dropping her off with her biological uncle of some sorts in New York city. They never bothered to figure her out; letting her be where ever when ever she wanted.
Walking down the stairs of the second floor Aane glanced at herself in the mirror wall that was at the bottom. She had changed since that book store day. Her hair was now extremely long. All the way to the gape of her back and had brown steaks in it. Her ears pieced multiple times and a nose piercing on the right side. She had found out that make up brought out her eyes and that contacts helped as well. Her style had changed from solitude foster child. (mostly hoodies and baggy jeans) She mostly wore now big ninties look sweaters that she cut to fit her style and leggings. Colors always being dark. She didnt want to be goth and being to bright and colorful would draw tomuch attraction. Sure people thought she was cool and people like Jake made attempts to befriend her but she never let in anyone.
Well, Jake queased in alittle the past year. Being her first and only love plus the only guy to make it to the make out with a little lower action. No sex though. To much of a commitment for Aane.
Takeing out her car keys out of her pocket and walked out of the front lobby doors.
Good bye. She thought to herself. Hello Uncle.
