I love how you just use the bases as a reference instead of outright tracing over them.
Actually, I think this is one of your better pieces. Sora's face could use some work, (the top of his face is jutting out too far over the bottom of his face). I think his hair is fine, but his head is a bit large. As for Kairi, I love her expression, but you should keep in mind, people's eyes are usually halfway down on the face; in her case you made her eyes a little too low on her head.
I agree, his right arm holding the straw does look a little odd in how it's attached to his body, but the arm itself is fine. And his other arm that he's leaning on is a bit long on the forearm; that said, aside from those issues Sora's arms are very well-drawn. Kairi's could use work, for instance hands usually don't look like a set of fingers attached to the end of an arm. >>;;
And finally, I love the detail you put in their clothes. Very nice
