Description
Upon receiving my copy of Cyberfrog Unfrogrettable tales, I responded in kind with my own take on the Amphibious Crime Fighter. Had a fair share of fun while working on this along with sneaking in a few references here, and I look forward to finishing it off.
Disclosing a photo of my recent loot (along with Lust of the Dakini Ink drawings to prove I still draw).
When I first unearthed these from the package, special editions with full foil silver covers of old books, the first thing I picked up on was a smell that I haven't smelled in a long while. Their smell of heated plastic reminded me of fond memories of one of the first comic book shops I went in nearly 25 years ago, and also later when I first got ahold of Manga Entertainment Videos in my teens. It was the smell of promise.
The evolution of ComicsGate and likeminded Indie looks set to promise a good future for the Comic scene, and It's a pleasure to be a part of it. I hope to walk side by side with the big names one day.
I've posted this to Ethan's email and facebook, though last I heard he doesn't frequent either of those much. If any friendly soul would like to post this on his twitter (which I may get) by all means.
Cyberfrog by Caesar, Human Sunbeam, Uncle Ethan Van Sciver, and I'd like to offer additionally thanks to Andrea for shipping these copies over. I'm caught between going with the Comic Ink \ Cell shaded approach as planned or go for the fully painted look as I'm already halfway there on the latter.
