Because even formidable lasses of super strength and hi-tech gadgets need to take the odd Tube ride to work every now and again, coffee in hand. Mind you, if they're using London Transport, I'm surprised they haven't gone green and hulked out in frustration.
This was a commission done for a client's friend who is big on DC comics, coffee and Harry Potter. The ladies were loosely posed to represent a "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" theme.
Characters by DC Comics. Art by me. Done in Inks and Photoshop. The textures were provided from my own photography based on my travels. Also, I finally put a couple of old paintings of mine to good use by adding them here, seeing how that commissioner at the time never paid a penny for them. You learn quickly where the money is concerned.

One of them (in some versions two) has the power of flight. Why taking the tube when you can fly?

But yeah, it was just a fun commission as a gift for a person. From what I've heard this person does comic reviews as well, so if they want to use this as a reference on the podcast then they can go for it.

Hey, it can be heard at most London underground stations! I was talking about that, not some dirty thoughts! Oh and Batgirl - use a cover for your cup next time! Avoids spots at the costume and burns!

Cheers sir! The commissioner did indeed ask me to go for a down to earth and casual look for the ladies. And yes, to a degree I take my artistic inspiration from feature length animations of the 60s to 90s, Bluth, Disney and Bakshi even.
