((Although this one stories theory of Mangekyo Sharingan freaked me out... it made the suggestion that it has to be a sexual partner you kill, not a best friend. That would have a 19 year old Shisui seducing a 13 or younger year old Itachi. So wrong!))

Well I think that this whole "has to kill someone" point is utterly stupid to start with. Eye techniques and kekkei genkai in general should be genetic; so the awakening of a special kind of kekkei genkai and its strenght should be given with a person's birth, not by killing. Seriously, how does a stranger's/a friend's death modify someone else's eye technique? Kishimoto's reasoning suck. Big time.

Maybe its more about trauma. In my opinion, if Sasuke had thought Naruto had died in Wave, instead of the other way around, he would have unlocked it.

It's funny because I just drew him with a very similar expression on his face. This canny smile suits him really really well and I don't even know why.
I always like it when people experiment with manga characters in a realistic style! The nose could have been a little bigger (he has kind of a pug nose in the manga, at least not as fine as Itachi's nose) and the lashes a little more accentuated. But I like the overall impression very much.

His face is just so suitable for a smile, isn't it? I think that Itachi has a gift for trolling, but Shisui is the one with an actual sense of humour, and he's not afraid to show it. ..show it, show it.. he's funny and he knows it! UMMM. Let's just pretend this didn't happen.
I was struggling with his nose, like, terribly. I've re-drawn it about twelve times until I was at least quite content with it. A pug nose. You're right. And it just makes Shisui even sweeter.

well next time when you draw a portrait i would suggest making the neck a bit thicker. examine your neck? where does it start?in your drawing it looks as if it starts from the jaw..but it actually starts from the behind of ears.so the right side..(from my point of view) should have more neck muscles.
by doing that and widening his shoulders you will make his head equal to the rest of the body..(as much as its seen here).
i hope i helped.
i had a similar problem..until i was pointed out...XD still make them from time to time..mine is that i make the neck too long sometimes.XD

if u ever have doubts..reference your own body...thats how i learned that hands should be drawn about the size of your face.(in length)
i still use my hands as reft to almost all my drawings..XD
