Excerpt of the found diary entries from an "Alvito de Diego" dated April 13, 1539:

"It is now half a solar orbit since we overcame the wall of fog and docked on this strange island. On this part of southern Oceania there should never really be another island, as far as current nautical charts describe it.... Some ships have passed this sea route without mentioning yet another new island.
Assume to have possibly lost our way in the middle of the sea way and that this part of the sea has not yet been charted by any cartographer and is undiscovered.
Will explore this ruined island a little. Of course with our drawn sabers.
Trade goods in the ship may have to wait a bit until delivery."
