Description Waiting for Fajr
Model: Rayzel (My nephew)

I was so excited making this shot, i'm trying to show this kid's activity as a moslem boy. I knew there would be pro and contra as i'm showing the pic as a Religious Photo... but if you're mature enough, pls see it from photography view. I had enough someone telling me on my FB page ([link] ) that he hates Islam and accused me that I forced my nephew to hold the Quran... That sounds so childish, too bad!

A photo which the technic is clearly mastered with a simple communicative model. We understand then at once about what it is, a photo with dominating religious character .

Beyond "cute" aspect which this photo transmits , I found that there is an important and dangerous points to underlined , in ALL religions.

That about conditioning of childrens , indeed we use the children a lot and we their learn dices youngest age not to understand but has to follow ideas .
Religion is then a tradition transmitted by parents and not as a personal choice , choice which a child cannot make. It is a question of conditioning and either educational and it is one of the reasons major for which so many persons reject simply religion cause of the pretext that it is "that's stupid" and brainwasher .

I am not for or against religions , I am for freedom and it implies personal choices makes in quite knowledge of cause .

what a so cute picture and mood, and very beautiful light!
don't listen at the bad critiques, this is from people who hate religion and can't even appreciate a good photo without arguing about it.

Thank you so much, i wouldn't mind if the bad critique is constructive, but it doesn't make sense when the critiques turns bad just bcoz someone hate to see Islam thing on my photo. No I don't use flash... most of my photos don't. I just took it early morning to get a right light

Laura-Skeff In reply to CartonBlinder [2011-12-10 14:09:13 +0000 UTC]

i didn't even read your critique. i just did it right now. i wasn't referring to you,i made the comment, based on the own photographer's comment, bellow the photo...some atheists are haters and i don't see anything wrong on educating your kids by believing in god and teaching good things about it. it's a good and kind way to raise their beloved children, and if these children don't like religion, they will be free to decide it a little later.

CartonBlinder In reply to Laura-Skeff [2011-12-11 18:05:14 +0000 UTC]

stop say that i dont say . there is nothing wrong in teache religion to kids but how you did it is very important . that's all what i'm talking about .

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

msendy In reply to CartonBlinder [2011-12-11 09:02:33 +0000 UTC]

of course it does! and I believe every family would try to develop their children as best as they could. There's nothing wrong with it, I don't think brain wash is a fit word for this, it sounds negative. If you're saying a kid can't make a choice, it's not because their family is conditioning for this, but because an innocence child needs a guide from older people.
I believe none of family would teach worse things for their kids. As mentioned b4 by our friend above, the kids can make their own decision if they find else best when they grow up.

a guide of course , who will teach him to develop a self critique sens too . And i dont say "wrong things" but you cant teach to someone and transmit your own personal conception of good or wrong like they was absolute and have influence . I dont think it is easy to choose/change/leave a religion when you follow one point of view all your childhood and when your social environment wait for something .

i maybe make a mistake thinking that often arrives and we dont live in same culture but i often have this feeling earing persons around me .
