Haven't tried to do a bald head look since my very first post submitted back in 2013, and I'm happy to see the progress I've made so far.For a while now I've been wanting to do an ode to Kathy, the first (and my favorite) canonical She-Mask. Still absolutely love the first panel reveal of her wearing The Mask and shooting Stanley in the back. I never held the comic in hand but I remember someone did a motion through/voice over of the original Mask comic on youtube. Still remember the actress's altered voice uttering the line at the top of this page. Wanted to do her justice with this picture. Felt like it was hella cluttered, so I took out some twisters and then added a bunch of 3-D text, because that always makes things less cluttered. Was considering writing a transformation story for this but I feel like Kathy deserves more than just a quick, "Put on The Mask, end of story," style accompaniment. Besides, next time I write a She-Mask thing it should be My Mask and Me. Anyway, as with half the shit I plan for this account, I'll write Kathy a story maaaaaaaybe one day.
But this photo was actually initially inspired by the dress that Masked Kathy is wearing. Originally from a Salma Hayek pic and when I saw that hue of purple I just thought, "that has to be worn by someone in green." One thing led to another and now you've go this movie poster type deal. I don't know, I've found that my Mask endeavors seemed to all be inspired by an outfit or a dress I saw recently. So if any of you got some good outfit pics up your sleeve, feel free to send em my way. Inspiration might strike.

Yes! Kathy the mask just like you she too was my first one. The one who answered my curious question "what would happen if a female were to wear the mask?" And just like that there she was. I am more excited to read the story more than the image don't get me wrong you did a fantastic job with this!

This picture does make me want to figure out why Kathy has a fun here. Maybe she does the Kellyway thing and solve crimes with a The Mask. But don’t hold your breath for this story. I’ve got Mask and Me to work on and Another one off that I’ve been wanting to write for a while

Sheeeeesh, where do I even begin?
First thing first, it's always great to see some more of the "original mask" themed works. To see that the comics weren't completely overshadowed by the movie. This adds a lot to the joy that your piece is giving me.
As for the picture itself, I have one word. It's stellar. You do some real magic with Photoshop. The way you handled those effects...it feels like the scene is almost brought into motion. The text looks very Mask-ish and therefore fits the piece perfectly. By the way, unmasked Kathy look veeeeeeery close to the books, you did very very well at replicating her appearence, whether it was intentional or not.

Haha the text is actually someone’s attempt at making a “Mask” font. It’s called Ipkiss. And thank you! Funny you should mention the comic book look and not being overshadowed by the movie, cause like half of The Masks head is just straight from the movie haha. And thank you about the motion part of the picture. I was really hoping the fractal twists kind of gave off that vibe instead of just being indulgent

Wow, can't tell whether that means that the mask has made a bigger impact than I've realised, or Ipkiss was a font before it came along and just happens to fit the comic like a rubber glove xD

No it was made after the font on the poster. And I still see references to it in the wild pretty often. A lot of people probably grew up watching that with the other wacky Jim Carrey movies
