--Prologue--

Earth, Year 203X
Overpopulation has become a major global issue for the last 10 years. In the meantime, the mankind finally invented a shrinking technology, which able to alter size of living beings including human. After several long discussions, all leaders of every country in the world agreed to shrink down half of human population to overcome the overpopulation. The selection process to decide who would be shrunken down was completely random, regardless of their gender, age, social status, etc. The shrinking process itself was irreversible and permanent, but the shrunken ones were promised with easy and luxurious life in a safe living place separated from the normal-sized ones. After all of the shrinking project completed successfully, a special organization was formed to maintain relationship between the shrunken ones and the normal ones.

For a while, mankind was able to live peacefully, for both shrunken and normal ones. But then, the organization slowly became corrupt, and all of a sudden - they shut the organization down. The shrunken ones were abandoned with no food or resources. Therefore, they were forced to go back into the normal-sized society to feed themselves. While they were accepted in the society, some of the normal-sized people saw them as a second-class citizen species.

"Really? You still cannot solve this basic math problem? Listen to me, you are one of the shrunken, you are small, yet you're very lucky to be here because your parents are able to pay for your tuition. At this point, you're only wasting your parent's hard-earned money. You need to accept the reality that you need to work harder than everyone else because you're small. Let's be real, tiny people like you have little to no place to contribute in our society, but the uneducated ones are more than useless, they're literally hindrance in our society. I'm going to be frank with you, majority of normal-sized people, even I, as your teacher, cannot see you as an equal, as a human, you and your people are basically subhuman for us. Despite of that, I'm still going to teach you just like any normal-sized student, maybe I can't see you like an equal human, but I will treat you equally as one of my student, and that's why you need to make the most of this opportunity to learn."
