HEY LOOK ITS COMPASS MAN.You know. From that one obscure crappy Bandai Wonderswan game? No?
Any rate, here he is. I made up the colors since, to the best of my knowledge, no color art of him exists.
(Man, it took me a while to realize he has elements of both forms of "compass". Oy.)

When I colored this guy for a "family tree" I made his armor blue (South) and red (North), paying in mind that compasses are also magnets, on which South and North are usually depicted in those two colors.

Really love this! Just got finished playing this game for the first time actually. It is pretty crappy but it's definitely not Megaman and Megaman 3 PC terrible! There was something there, I say it deserves some sort of remake. Anyways, love the color scheme you gave for him as well! Very fitting.

Any ideas for a Special Weapon? Something "compassy," I imagine.

Direction Cutter for Mega Man would be my guess. It works like Metal Blade, but with less ammo and it can't aim up or down. If you hold down and shoot while using it, however, you can ride it around and slice things. It would have 23 uses. (27 w/ Energy Saver)
For Bass, it would be the Arrow Blitz. It would shoot 2 arrows, which would split into 3. It could also be charged and used as stage clearer akin to the Lightning Bolt. It would drop 4 arrows, which would hit the ground, split into 2, and run across the floor if they didn't hit enemies. However, it would not stop time and make you invulnerable like the Lightning Bolt. It would have 18 non-charged uses, and 7 charged uses. (23 and 14 respectively when the Energy Saver is used.)

That pencil in his arm really made me think otherwise but.. It's Compassman so it's cool ^_^
I like it, it's sad we don't see much of the Dimentions even with Capcom making fun of them in ZX games...

=0 Ooh, I was linked to this from a friend. Nice to see more fanart of the Dimensions, and colored ones to boot -- this is probably one of the best ones I've seen of Compass Man. It took me a bit when I first saw the guy to realize that he referenced both compasses, which I thought was actually clever of Bandai/Capcom. Didn't imagine there would be a pencil, though, but given how compasses work, they fit. xD

You know I always thought he was connected by a lock and key, but, you know, it's all obscure and hard to see (and it wasn't crappy I liked it. :C ... Well, okay there needed to be a lot of fixes, but it had potential to be a good game).
I always thought his left arm had the compass needle points on it, but the pencil adds flair, so I can't complain. Colors are oddly accurate to how I and a few others drew him too; it just feels natural for him to have a brownish-red color scheme.
I never uploaded the Compass drawing because I stopped uploading my new art here. DA actually is very poorly managed and I didn't want to deal with all the drama involving art theft and admins.
