Well this is my first Macro, just playing around really... Actually, this is the 60mm lens. I had ordered it before I found my 100mm for a great price, but it was supposed to be backordered, but it showed up in 2 days :/ anyways, I was playing around with it til my real lens got here!
The detail is spectacular though!DD!

If you notice, there is a tiny little heart created by the resin of the cigarette, which is the irony of the whole piece! But thank you, that's my 100mm macro lens that did the real work! Thanks for the +fav

Hola, long time, no see. Probably don't remember I used to follow your free-verse closely. Was led back here today by "She makes me..." popping up on my random favorites. Ah, I love that poem...
Anyway, never took particular note of this photo before. Didn't know it was a DD. But I wanted to say that it's a nice pic technically but one almost anyone with a nice macro lens could take. It's the heart that's just on the verge of being burnt out of existence that makes all the difference. Statement, even if accidental.
It's kind of like a comment I got on a typical flower shot, when someone told me that it would have been nothing more than just another flower shot, if not for the title. I guess that's the kind of thing I'm trying to convey.
Probably heard the same thing a thousand times when you were famous for a day, huh?

Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it so much! I got really lucky with the heart on there, after SO many shots. I used the black backdrop so it would show the smoke more, even though it's not the central focus of the shot, it still adds to the work.
