It isn't harmless, that's the problem. Up till just a couple generations ago in the west, religion was a common reinforcer for racism. Today it continues to do the same for sexism and homophobia.Β
And no, atheism is not a religion. There is no atheist mythology, no atheist belief set, no atheist popes or priests, no atheist traditions and cultures.

The word "bible" isn't found in your link at all. Is there an atheist subculture online? Sure, but that doesn't prove anything of what you said. Name me this atheist bible. Name me our religious leaders. Name me our religious creed that defines us as atheists.

These problems are caused by religion specifically. That is the issue.
But this isn't an actual bible, it's a collection of quotes. The "bible" bit in the title is facetious. If this is our bible, then how come I- a long-time atheist active online- never heard of this before? I repeat: spell out just how atheism is a religion. Because it really fits none of the criteria.

Under that definition the civil rights movement is a religion. Or any movement at all, actually. Any organization formed with a purpose becomes a religion.
