a little bit too thick. well, it depends on the size of the pokemon anyway. small pokemon get lines like this. and bigger pokemon get thinner lines.

i think it should be a combination of both. 'outlines' in bolder lines, and 'detail lines' in thinner lines, of course.
but you guys are trying to do a sugimori. so maybe my advice would not really help that much. orz

personally i like thicker lines because it gives it more of a cartoony feel but its up to you
you might want to make the main lines thick like this but keep the details smaller like the original but again its just me
