Description Between two Star Trek and Dark Tower drawings, I still draw some characters from The Sword of Truth novels. :]

How good is the French translator, incidentally?  I think that when a novel is translated, it is in fact recreated by the translator to an extent.

Strange, I always imagined Annalina with a bun and a little bit older...Love what you did with Nathan, though! He looks to be the sort of guy I'd love to hang out/cause trouble with, just like I imagined when I was reading that series!

That is EXACTLY how I imagined Pasha would look. You're an amazing artist, and I appreciate all of your drawings, but I commented on this one in particular because you drew exactly what I see in my head when I think of her. Amazing.

Your drawings are some of the best interpretations of these characters. Nathan Rahl looks exactly the way I pictured him. I agree, the books are way better than the tv series. The tv series is a joke.

I really love all the renditions of the SOT characters you have done so far. The only one that isn't my idea of perfect is Annalina.. I think she is more like a plump elderly lady (kinda like those old ladies who sit and through crackers to birds on park benches.. lol), than just a fat woman. haha.. still really good though!

Pour Nathan et Annalina, par contre, j'avoue que je ne les envisageais pas ...comme ça.

Nathan un peu moins vieux et Annalina, un peu moins grosse ^^


Mais ce n'est pas une critique, tes dessins restent cool

Héhé, ne t'inquiète pas, et puis les gens ont tendance à penser qu'on ne peut critiquer que négativement alors que ce n'est pas du tout le cas.
En fait, je n'ai pas trop envie de faire genre: "tout le monde il est beau".

Pour Annalina, je trouve que je ne l'ai pas encore fait assez grosse, parce qu'il est bien marqué dans les livres que c'est, je cite, "une vieille femme ramassée plus large que haute", donc quelqu'un de clairement obèse. J'aime bien Annalina, je dis juste ce qu'il en est.

Et pour Nathan, je lui avais fait encore plus de rides avant, heureusement que j'en ai enlevé quelques unes sur le front au final. ^^' Mais je trouve que la vieillesse lui va bien, ça lui donne beaucoup de charisme. :]
Mais ce qui est difficile avec la famille Rahl, c'est que les membres doivent beaucoup se ressembler tout en étant très différents. Comme j'ai dessiné Richard avant Nathan, j'ai du me baser sur le modèle de Richard et ça a un peu bridé mon interprétation du prophète. >.<

Enfin bref, merci pour ton commentaire.
Et j'en ai encore plein d'autres de dessiner de l'Epée de Vérité en stock !
Faut juste que je trouve le temps de les cleaner un peu. J'en posterai d'autres d'ici la fin de la semaine. :]

Je suis d'accord pour le fait de suivre les descriptions, mais je trouve que T.G reste encore assez vague parfois que pour ne pas caler un personnage dans un style.

Certes, Darken Rahl est blond, il est inconcevable qu'il devienne roux sur un dessin donc, mais bon, prenons l'exemple d'Annalina.

Oui, elle est replète, mais "vieille femme ramassée plus large que haute", c'était le point de vue d'un personnage, il me semble. Donc c'est comme si subjectivement, pour moi quelqu'un était moche, alors qu'il est peut-être passable.
Enfin je ne sais pas si je m'explique bien ^^'

Pour Nathan, on arrête pas de dire qu'il est fringuant, donc j'arrive pas à le voir spécialement vieux lol
Genre Viggo Mortensen, qui a 50ans mais on le sait pas

L'idéal est d'associer ma vision des choses avec la tienne mais souvent je laisse mes idées de base s'installer comme elles veulent pour éviter de me prendre trop la tête. ^^'

In France, there are just 9 books (+ prequel ).
But I read only 7 of them and the prequel for now. :+

Anyway. Great series, but with few boring to death moments...well, like all this type of series I guess. ^^'

Bah en fait, j'ai dessiné pendant ces deux dernières semaines. Donc j'avais un petit stock. Mais je n'avais pas pu les scanner à Saint Etienne faute de scanner. :]

That's weird you haven't heard about The Sword of Truth.
It's a very famous series.

Anyway, I advise you to read novels.
The TV show by the Disney studios is really a dead loss.

Actually, I'm really not a high-achieving draftswoman.
French people are lazy, that's well-know. XP

But these one are really simple drawings.
I guess...less of one hour to draw and clean each character.
The cleaning is almost the longer part because my drawings are always very dirty. ^^'
