Used Photoshop to make this colored artwork of Last of the Summer Wine characters Foggy, Clegg and Compo. No reference pictures, barely looked at pictures just to check the shading on the faces. Also wanted to finish this one since the death of actor Brian Wilde on Thursday March 20, who played Foggy. He was definitely my favorite combination of the trio..RIP Foggy!

Compo - A real reprobate. Nora Batty accidentally killed him. This started a 3-parter ELEGY FOR FALLEN WELLIES. (The actor died of terminal pancreatic cancer, but bravely soldiered on, until he was unable to handle the full work load. They then used doubles & stock footage, until his death in mid-production forced rewriting episodes.
My mother was a great fan of the series, and so am I. After the end credits rolled on the screen, we would sit & talk for mayhaps a half hour about the show.
When my mother stopped watching TV in early 2007, I KNEW something was seriously wrong. She was also not eating right and had other problems. I had to contact the doctor and the hospital.
She died in July,2007. I still have nobody to talk to now ...

nice. especially without reference. maybe desaturate the bg a little so the characters stand out more.
