Description
This is my Cortana Costume/Cosplay. I based the costume from Halo 3 version of her. The body suit was painted by myself with fabric paint.This costume took me a couple months to complete.

LOVE the costume... I'm trying to figure out how to paint mine. I've tried two different paints and it looks nothing like yours. If you don't mind me asking, how'd you do it?

The paint I used for Cortana was Pebeo Setacolor. [link]
The colours I used for Cortana were:
Shimmer - Jet Black (#79)
Transparent - Cobalt Blue (#11) or Sky Blue (#3)
- I mixed these two colours together to make the base colour to have a nice deep blue shimmer. I had to use two different blues since the art supply stores I went to sold out of one or the other all the time. When mixed together with the Jet Black it ends up looking the same.
Shimmer - Electric Blue (#69)
Shimmer - Pearl Silver (#60)
- these were used for the "binary" details and layering strokes to portray "movement"
In my little city I could only find 1.5 oz bottles. So I ended up buying quite a bit of paint. Some of these colours you can order in larger bottles... except for the Jet Black which is what I needed the most! I used Fabric specific paint brushes, it made the paint go on nicely. My friend (who is an artist) did a chalk drawing on the suit while I wore it, when we liked how it looked he went over the designs with a blue marker... he kept if pretty simple so that I could paint all the little detail lines and dots and little curves. I painted the suit without it being on a mannequin so I had to go over someplaces a couple times.

Why this hasn't had more attention, I have no idea. This is my favourite Cortana cosplay I've seen! As I'm planning to cosplay her myself in the near future, I've been looking through a lot and your style is by far my favourite.
