Well... we all have skeleton in our closet don't we....
This is as sculpture I made in full scale way back in University like 96.
With the inspiration from of or creating cybernetic retro-futuristic looking wall sculpture with a mix of organic human forms cast in metal with detail of raw mechanism between the plates... It wasn't until after it was finished that I noticed the that it looked like a hybrid between a frozen Hans Solo and something from a Hellraiser movie... Not quite as original as I hoped... But I still like it though... well enough to hang him on my living room wall.
It is made of a mix of Clay sculptured head and body of foam plastic that is then vacuum formed over.. Cut into pieces and then dried brushed painted.

WOW..... What happen????
I leave on X-Mass holiday and suddenly when I check dA after some days I found like 400-500 mails with about 99% focused on my Human Mechanic sculpture.

Some of you wrote about the resemblance of characters from curtain films...
Hehe.... Actually when I made it I really believed it would have been truly unique.....
Then as soon as I put in all the chugs and mechanic junk between the 6 plates and the dry brush paint work finally was done I stepped back some steps to see the final sculpture.......... And I suddenly saw this frozen Han Solo and Hellraiser hybrid with a weird twist.
Lol.... I got so disappointed at that point.
Even if I was overall happy with the work.. I just wanted to be more original.
Well... Now like 12-13 year after I am just happy over the experience and the old dusty sculpture hanging on my living room wall.

No worries. Yes it is life size. so +/- 120x70cm. (don't have it in front of me at the moment so I cant measure it exactly)

The work reminds me so much of The Ice Man, the ancient hunter they found preserved in ice. Very intriguing and skillful!

Really love how it's been segmented like that - each piece is a little differnt, clinical in a way almost, divided up to be studied further. (Or at least thats what I begin to feel) Great job on it - pretty big if it was full scale! The patina is really well done.

Almost reminds me of Anakin a bit more, facially.
Although that aside, it's really a stunning piece!

Its reminiscent of Han Solo in carbonite, but I think it has its own deeper, darker twist in it. Also, you hear of people murdering others and putting them in poured concrete in their basement or whatever; I imagine this is how they would look after a while... Its delightfully creepy. Congratulations on the DD!

I'm glad I read the comments; I think it reminds me of Han too... but like, Han Solo if he somehow entered the world of Hellraiser... Is that weird?

Hellraiser is awesome... the people that die are always people who deserve it morally... it's kind of the only Horror movie(s) where I cheer when people get obliterated.
