Thinking some more into how well this all just fits...
Vic's soul is concentrated in a scroll, it's easy for Dev to get in touch with it and just 'taste' the soul straight from the source without killing the person firsthand.
A soul he can just suck like a lollipop whenever he desires? To good to ignore!
And since Vics powerful guardian soul is made from the awesome magic of Lyla, it's addictively arousing for the soul-leech who will be wanting more of that stuff. Aw yeah~
It's really the the one and only legit way for Dev to get anywhere near something considered romantically intimate, as the genderless non sexual thing he is. But dat soul man... All the reason to get some serious kissing lessons~ UNF
