I AM YOUR SEMIAMPHIBIOUS KNIGHT.Phillip Fathom, Deep Sea Detective headcanon. Part Batman, part 1940s Noir PI, part Creature from the Black Lagoon, and a tiny bit Aquaman. He and Laserbeam don't even look they belong in the same universe, which is just as it should be.
I had to keep the mantis logo, it's just so clever, I love it. I don't know who came up with it. The barnacles are a detail I stole from asutori over on tumblr, and I dearly hope she doesn't mind - it looked so badass in her design I can't imagine him without it now! I tell you what though, he probably doesn't smell like a bunch of roses.
Goes with my Captain Laserbeam!
