That came from an old obscure PC game for BatB. However, since they never actually call him Adam in the movie, I don't consider it canon. Why not all 3 triplets? Because that's not a pairing. A pairing implies two characters only and I always used Pinky. Gaston wanted Belle because he couldn't have her and he is turned on by the challenge. I also think it was partially HOW Belle handled the issue. She let him believe that she was into him. She publicly humiliated him in how she refused his proposal. The right answer would have been right off the bat tell him that she's just not interested. It's not his fault or anything, it's just how it is. Or in the proposal, she could have just been honest and let him down gently, let him leave acting like HE dumped her.
