SasuSaku: Road of Revenge, Bridge to Happiness Part 1

  Sakura went for a walk outside of the village as the daylight surrendered to the evening. Memories of the past floated into her mind, as the cold wind cut through. She shivered at the coldness, when a voice came, "Cold, Sakura?"

  She whipped around, and saw Uchiha Sasuke sitting on a tree branch. "S-sasuke-kun, what are you doing here?" she stuttered. He whispered so quietly, she had to strain to hear, "I came to kill you, Sakura. You and Naruto are blocking my way on the road of revenge."

  He pulled his sword out and lunged at her but she blocked it and aimed a punch at his chest. He leaped away, but grunted as the punch knocked the blade out of his hand. "WHY?! WHY CAN'T YOU COME BACK TO US?!" Sakura cried. "The endless road I walk will only end with Itachi's death." he replied as he dodged a kick. Sakura yelled, "Your road of revenge can come to a bridge to happiness!" She landed a punch at his shoulder, but couldn't get away before a huge fireball slammed into her. She felt flames lick her arm, and a sharp, numb pain in her shoulder, but the last thing she saw was Sasuke's regretgul face.

   Sakura opened her eyes to find herself in a hospitable room. Large blue eyes stared worriedly at her, and her sensei, Tsunade, stood by the isde of the bed. Immediately seeing Sakura's eyes open, Naruto asked, "Who did this to you, Sakura?" She felt tears behind her eyes as she croaked, "Sasuke-kun." Eyes widened in shock and she groaned, "What happened when you guys found me?" Tsunade replied, "Lee and Tenten were taking a walk, when they found you lying on the ground with a large wound on your shoulder, and scorch markes on your clothing. I'v epatched you up, but you may feel a little numb."

  The next day, Sakura got out of the hospitable, but she always focused on Sasuke. Sometimes she even thought he was standing right next to her, which sent shivers down her spine (after what happened that day when he tried to kill her). She often wondered why he didn't finish her off when he had the chance. Her heart cried at his cold sogt words that day:

   "You and Naruto are blocking my way on the road of revenge."

   A week later, she received a summons from Tsunade, and was surprised to see Naruto and Sai there. Tsunade said, "The captain is on another mission, so you three will have to go on your own. You three have received a battle challenge."
"From who?" Naruto asked. She hesitated before she said, "Sasuke."
