Gotta thank Cameron , he asked for Ai artwork and I wasn't going to say no to Ai. I asked Dev which idol has a similar energy to our Ai, he answered with Rika Himenogi when she performed Motto Hurry Up!

And me being the complicated person that I am, I agreed with that feeling and added a bit of Chisato Moritaka with 17Sai

So combine both energies (75% Rika, 25% Chisato) to envision Ai and drew her in both outfits. Those outfits are for those idols truly. Ai would get her own outfit if she lived long enough to debut.

Then, I thought about Ai and what would be her fate if she lived long enough to have a career.

I don't think she would have extraordinary success or even an 'everlasting idol' title like Seiko Matsuda.

I don't think she would have very good success like Chisato Moritaka, who is also still performing to this day.

I think she would have similar success to Wink (an idol duo);

A few years of performing, several singles that rarely or not hitting the #1 spot in the Oricon charts, then quietly retiring to become a newscaster / news anchor / host of some more regularly viewed talk shows, getting married and having two kids (one boy, one girl) ... so a peaceful ending.

As much fun as it is to write a character rival die, I would not wish upon her some of the more painful outcomes that other real idols have had.

I already shared this with Dev, so far no objections from him on this hypothetical outcome haha.
