This is an awesome photograph! It's like looking at a movie set. The state that those things are in lend more credibility/realism to what they are, what they're depicting, etc. I also think the near monochrome adds a great effect. It's not strictly black and white. There is a tinge of green, white, grey - these slight differences make for a very interesting piece with regards to the overall detail.
While I do like the expanse, and the overall composition of the main subject matter sandwiched in between the sky and the beach, with some laying in the water, I do feel it is a bit overexposed. The background is a bit distracting... but, on the other hand, it gives the impression of a nuclear fallout, of what one might expect if the blinding white reached us. If it's like this in the photograph, what might it be like in person?
Of course, in person, it may not be that bright, or that white-washed overall, but that's what makes photography interesting. You capture something in real life, but it may look completely different.
Have you considered cropping this into a square? A square form would look quite cool, I think.

Love that square suggestion.Β
I took a couple of pictures but i fell in love with this, overexposed, one.Β
The image is indeed a little different than what it was in real life but as it was taken on Mulberrybeach i wanted to make this more a minimal shot that told the story and showed the viewer what kind of an impression it left on me, looking at my family walking around those metal skeletons, while standing on that beach.Β
That little bit of green gives us hope but it still feels like we never learn from the past.

Ooh, you raise a very fair point about perception and how we may view this piece regarding the colours, history, tec.

I'm not normally a fan of leaving so much empty space but in this case it works well. The colours here are so muted that I originally mistook it for a black and white image. Surprisingly though it doesn't have a forlorn feel as the little bit of green shows life even here. I can't quite tell if this is the remains of a vessel, building or structure but that uncertainty helps to make the picture more interesting. Even with such limited content you have managed to include a lot of elements including a range of tones, texture, shapes and repetition and all add to the picture. Β My only tip would be to take the time to make your own discrete watermark so that you can control where on the image it is located as the DA one is distracting.

Thank you so much for your feedback and the watermark tip.Β
I took a couple of pictures that day and at the last moment i decided to take one a little overexposed.Β
I was trilled with the, minimal, result, just the vessel, no sky no water. I also love that little bit of green in there it kinda gives you the feeling of hope.Β

I think it is beyond restoration.
It also gets a heavy beating by the sea, every day.
Thank you for dropping in.

That would indeed be an eye catcher in a museum.Β
And they have so many there on that beach it wouldn't be bad to save one from the forces of mother nature.
