full body picture of all the costume for my Callie Ohpeee/ Calliope cosplay for MCM London ComiconI went as Callie on the Saturday (subsequently, it was my very first Homestuck cosplay! ^u^)

the cheek swirls are a mess because I left my green bodypaint at home and had to try and scribble them on with one of those kiddies face sticks (the cheap, waxy kind you get at the joke shop) at 7am in the morning with less than 2hrs sleep in me (hence why my eyes are a bit heavy and dopey)
The outfit was a re-design I did of her cannon outfit- which I felt was far too drab for such a colourful and cheerful character <3
contact lenses are i.fairy super crystal green 16.5mm from iszo
horns made from yellow fimo polymer and attached to the inside of the wig
I was so busy snapping pictures of everything around me that I don't actually have many pictures of this costume
I'll put it on again at some point and take better shots

I couldn't find a jacket i liked (and lacked the sewing skills to make a fitted jacket) so i bought a white formal jacket at a thrift store, sewed on the swallow tails at the back and dyed the whole thing green.

the homestuckcosplayhelp page on tumblr has some amazing tip and tricks for troll cosplayers (although i picked up most of my techniques from a world of warcraft site lol)

the best tip i can give you is; use pax to paint your arms/legs cuz it dosen't come off without special remover (won't rub off on your cosplay and leave chalky white marks like regular bodypaint, won't streak if it gets wet, won't come off your hand. had my arms painted with it under that jacket and it was immaculate when i took the coat off at the end of the day)
if pax is too expensive you can actually make a substitute that works the exact same out of fabric paint (i shit you not, mix some white and black together to get the shade of grey that matches that bodypaint on your face and paint your arms/legs with it. it won't come off unless you give it a DAMN good scrub in the shower)
