I like the wide range of values, and the levels of detail that add interest to the composition. The high contrast of the spell pulls your eye into the central figure. The subtle range of color is well executed. Very nice work!

The warhowls of the invading Wolfen army filled the air along with the sizzles and crackles of the lone mage's lightning magic. Zap Brandon the mage was getting tired, soon he would not have enough power. Without his spells to keep the wolves back, the team's end would be long, painful and messy.
Damn! A Wolfen Sargent got Harold, he died clutching the spear that cruelly took his life.
Their brave squad was dwindling fast.
Royce hefted his sword slick with sweat and Wolfen blood. By the gods, I will make them pay dearly for my death, he grimly resolved.
