HE LOOKS SO PRETTY who said that despite of being unable to see the beauty around him he ought to be deprived of that? Great work, beautiful depiction of Hodr!

Beautiful. I like the winter symbology with the mistletoe/holly/bare branch and the snow-white fur trimming. There are not many Hodur images around, and that's the assuredly the best I've seen.

Baldur was killed by mistle, not Hod.

I'm fully aware. Just forgot to post a reply to explain who i meant with he (deemed it obvious). But still, as lovely as the piece is, why did you draw twigs of holly?

To represent the winter/coldness aspect of Hod.

isn't the holly as a symbol of winter something pretty christian and therefor very off?

I was under the impression that the Christians stole that symbol from the Germanic peoples. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course.

I think they stole both. And if Wikipedia is correct on this, the holly (in norse and celtic mythology) stood for love and hope, in christian believes it stands for life and blood.
Hard to tell, but after all it's very complicated...

I like your pictures, esspecially those mitological ones for they specific kind of realism. And I have a question: while creating them, do you use some models or photos, or it's only your imagination?

Imagination only, for most of these. What I do is I look at pictures and people and then remember what they kind of looked like for later... Sometimes I look at my hand for drawing hands, of course!

He is a sad guy, but he is one of my favorite Gods. I wish there was more to be known about him other than the tragic circumstances surrounding his accident and death.
Thank you for the compliment!
