Mayor Mare is the 2nd cartoon character created for the original 1954 Wonderful World of Disney TV series. She first appears in the episode Welcome to the World, where she gives a speech in honor of Space Mountain. In the 1978 Disney short The Small One, Mayor Mare helps the young boy sell his donkey Small One to Joseph and Mary. She makes a brief cameo appearance in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, where she is talking to Sea Swirl. In Ducktales the Movie, Mayor Mare plays a major role where she is revealed to be Webby Vanderquack’s mother, and that her real name is Angelina Vanderquack.
10 years later, Mayor Mare appears in the Pomp and Circumstance segment of Fantasia 2000. Here, she is portrayed as Noah’s daughter. In Springtime with Roo, Tigger mentions Mayor Mare’s real name while trying to guess what word should he say.
Mayor Mare returned in The Wonderful World of Disney reboot, first appearing in the Mary Poppins episode. She later appeared in tons of episodes, including The Park We Live On and Big Ballet Day).

Mayor Mare also appears on 3 Marvel films: Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Avengers: Infinity War. She is one of the few people to survive Thanos’ snap. In Captain Marvel, a portrait of her walking through Ponyville is seen during the mid-credit scene, while in Avengers: Endgame, Mayor Mare is revealed to be part of the Avengers.
