Just finished this one, and thought I'd share it right away! First I've planned to make several pictures in form of family portraits, but then decided to put them all together into one blank sheet. Maybe I'll do the family portraits later on, dunno yet. Beware, it's huge!As of now, we've got to know the parents of each of the Mane Six.
Anyway, the recent episode about Rainbow Dash's parents inspired me to make this one. I really enjoyed the episode, for it explains the origins of Dashie's multi-faceted character traits quite well (although her parents'... enthusiasm ran quite too far into clichΓ© territory for my taste).
Edit: In the wake of the newest episode, I've added the Apples' parents!

I am happy that we know all the parents now, sad that one pair is no longer with them though.
I still feel bad for Pinkie's parents though, all those daughters, I mean, we can tell that they weren't all a hand full, but, still four daughters, yeesh.
AJ, Twilight, and Fluttershy were all lucky enough to have brothers, though, surprisingly, Fluttershy is the only one to be older than her brother.

That rainbow-maned stallion is Bow Hothoof, Dashie's dad
And I don't think Pinkie Pie is adopted. She clearly stands out in this family, sure, but Cloudy and Igneous don't strike me as the type of ponies who would adopt a foal.

As long as the show doesn't explain otherwise, he's the younger self of Bow Hothoof in my eyes... sure, the cutie mark is different, but he wouldn't be the first one with a changed mark Β

Just think about how much energy and care Dashie's parents invested in her... they probably would collapse if they had more than one foal.Β
