Okay, so here's my dress!!! We rescued & renovated it from a pretty gross and moth-eaten state from a friend's attic. My older sister wore it to her Senior Prom. I love it!! Vinatge, yo. w00t
!! So I tried it on for the first time the other day. It's made for someone with a shorter torso than me, the lowest point of the bodice hits my bellybutton. So the bodice is a tad bit short, but other than that, it fits perfectly. I'm hoping to wear it somewhere important sometime in my life, I just don't know what yet. the preview pic is of the back, and if you double click, you'll get the front of it and ME!!

This is a gorgeous dress! The 40's and 50's are my favourite time frame for fashion, so this dress grabbed my attention!
Don't forget, in the 50's, people wore things on their waist not hips. So the bodice is actually pretty spot on from what I can see.

I always love looking at vintage clothing for their finishing details and this piece has some excellent detailing.
