Description
Just felt for some Japanese art in my own style. If anyone that actually knows how to draw Japanese style see something that is off, please tell me or is it alright?Used marker and black watercolor pencils on this and I also added a background in ps, couldn't decide what background i should do on this, might do one later?

If memory serves, japanese dragon has three claws on each foot.

huh, yeah. But is it only Japanese dragons or are all eastern dragons 3 clawed? I haven't read up on to mush of that stuff.

There is a fable, where originally dragon had five claws. As it flew further from China it lost a claw. In Korea, dragon only had four claws and in Japan it only had three claws.
In China, however dragons as political symbol were depicted with three to five claws, depended on the social status of the person. The Emperor alone always symbolized as a five-clawed dragon.

I personally do like drawing dragons, but mine take reference to more of Chinese ones (not large differences that I can see), after all I am born in the year of the dragonΒ Β

Well, this is the year of the horse, and year 2000 is when I was born. So if you're 23, it should be the the year of the... Goat .__. lawl Β Yeah, you can look up the years along with the zodiac signs XD
