Yew guys!!! This was an unreasonable amount of fun.

Show of hands: who else survived the industrial horror craze of the early 2000's? This is a theme near and dear to my heart, because I hopped on that bandwagon and rode it all the way to 2010! Nothing was edgier at the time than insanity, nihilism, rusted metal, clowns, turn-of-the-century medical equipment and, of course, childhood fantasy worlds TWISTED into nightmarish realms! Things like American McGee's Alice, Silent Hill, Marilyn Manson album art/music videos and McFarlane Toys' horror lines are some prime examples of this style. Oh, and Twisted Metal Black, which may or may not have inspired the name for this set. And I poke fun, but this is just as much directed at me as anyone else--in fact, nearly all of these characters are based on drawings I did back during that era!

Anyway, special thanks to for suggesting this aesthetic for a Creepazoid theme, and for helping me pinpoint some of its finer tropes!

Gotta lot of pent-up early 2000's nostalgia lately, so there will be other sets soon to explore more aesthetics from that era! I have a big out-of-state convention coming up around the middle of this month, so I probably won't have the next Fan Zone ready until January. So till then, keeping reaching for that BLACK RAINBOW!!!
