What kind of artistic media do you use to create something like this?

My pictures are photomanipulations; I use the free image manipulation software GIMP [link] .
I put together and blend photos or parts of them, edit them and usually add one or more textures.
I work with layers and their blending modes (such as multiply, overlay, soft light, hard light..), use layermasks, sometimes tools to select and cut, eraser, dodge and burn tool, blur, gradient, brushes and smudge tool.. and tools for adjusting color, hue saturation, contrast ..

Die Äste von dem Nadelbaum sehen so aus, als seien sie nicht schön ausgeschnitten. Ich hab gesehen, dass es im Original schon etwas vorhanden ist, wäre vlt schöner wenn du da noch leicht mit dem Klon-Pinsel drüberfährst, sodass es einen Übergang gibt
Ansonsten kann ich nur sagen: wirklich schöne Arbeit
Hat ein tolles Feeling, dadurch das alles eher verschwommen, wenig definiert ist, wirkt es schön verträumt, geheimnisvoll.

ich hab leider ziemlich lange vergeblich versucht diesen Bereich schöner hinzubekommen. Vielleicht schaff ich es ein ander Mal.

Ja genau die meine ich.
Ich habs mal ausprobiert, funktioniert mit dem Klon-Tool recht gut. Einfach einen weichen Pinsel nehmen und sanft drüber gehen.
Ich habs jetzt mit mit meinem Wacom tablet gemacht, ich weiß nicht obs mit der Maus auch so gut geht.
