Easy drawing program like SAI maybe the best for now.

Hm, I've never seen the source material so when I popped this one open I'm just trying to guess at what she does without looking it up.
Catgirl... Lolita-outfit, probably a maid... Fancy curls... Heart guitar? Well she's clearly an alien, and then she uses her guitar to teach others about friendship and love! Or pain. Lots of pain. Maybe she's more metal than I realize, and the cutesy outward appearance is a FRONT. XD
Anyways, this looks really good. Colors are nice and balanced, the line art is decent though I feel her left hand could use some more definition, and as far as accurate fanart goes *does quick google search* yeah, that's hella accurate. Good job!
