I recently talked to about the horrible stuff we watch and read even though we know it's crap. Well it got my thinking about this show I watch called Winx Club. I'm way out the age demographic but I still watch it. Yes, even though it's badly dubbed and edited. And I have no idea why. I guess I have a soft spot for 'magical girl' series'. But only certain ones, cause I hate Rayearth. In fact besides Sailor Moon I don't watch any other Japanese Magical Girl series.So yes, for some reason I watch Winx Club and like it. I used to watch W.I.T.C.H. too but toon disney stopped showing it. The comic and stand alone pics for this series are actually very nice: [link] But there is one other thing I will never understand about this cartoon....Why is Riven always wearing shirts that don't fit him? Are Midriff shirts for men just the style in Italy?

Yay! I shall write a really long comment on this deviation because I have no life!
Positive: The sparkles are amazing. Seriously, what brushes do you use? And your placed them correctly, to. Also, when you fullview this deviation, a lot of detail comes splashing at you. The pattern on the outfit, the wrinkles on the boots, and the strands of hair. This really looks like you edited it to the max.
The pose is AWESOME! I wish I knew proportions like that. Her hand is drawn flawlessly, and not to mention this deviation is beautiful!
Negative: Well, I absolutely hate the face. The lip is ugly, she has no forehead, and the hair around the face hugs it awkwardly. I also hate how you drew the strands of hair. They do not look smooth, just a random array of scribbles.
And thats basically it! This is not a critique, since I didn't tell you how to improve! Tel me anything I missed!

Thank you. About the face, I was trying to stay true to the way they are drawn in the show: [link] But I also tried to make her sort of in my style and the two clashed big time. Same with the hair. I'm thinking of doing as head shot of Prince Sky: [link] But the style is so removed from my own it's taking me a while.
