//:Gods:
-Alya:
\\: The god she was raised to believe in. Believes her tough-love mentality to be an inspiration, and treats her very much like a motherly figure in her life. Maxi will pray to her when she needs courage in her life.
Maxi imagines Alya very close to her actual appearance, with only slight distortion towards her markings. Imagines her spirals and stripes to move and swirl like wind, and her tail to be fuller, with more feathers. Sees her colors as more reddish and her wings and feathers as shifting blues.
-[ Recent events have both strengthened her beliefs, and shaken her trust with Alya. Maxi is against in the war on Aodh, still holding respect for the herd, so Alya’s seeming desire to urge Serora to plunge so wholeheartedly into the war has changed her relationship with the god. Currently very conflicted between her worship of Alya and Ignacio. ]-
-Kaia:
\\: Maxi sees the god of earth as a motherly figure, taking care of those below her by keeping soils fertile and walls high. Her grandmother, Rei, was an avid worshipper of Kaia, and Maxi keeps the goddess close to her heart. She prays to Kaia for guidance with her family.
-Argus:
\\:
-Cascade:
\\: Maxi maintains an odd relationship with the Wave Mother. Cascade was the patron goddess of Bellia, Maxi’s deceased wife, and as a result, the goddess was very close to her heart for many years. However, after Bellia was lost in a sandstorm, despite her being blessed with the ability to see such dangers, Maxi began to distrust the Cascade. She tried to pray to her, but the relationship became more and more strained as time went by.
Maxi initially envisioned Cascade as a serene, kind god, her colors reflecting the soft greens, blues, and tans of the rivers. She believed her fish tail and mane to be long and flowing, with her tail covered in long, sweeping fins that gently moved with the currents of the river. However, as her distrust of the god worsened, her colors grew darker and greener, like water undrinkable due to moss and dirt, and her once long mane and tail grew shorter and stiffer, with her tail losing the long fins in exchange for webbed spines.
-[ When the truth about the Solstice Sacrifices became public knowledge, Maxi fully disregarded her, stopping her worship of the god altogether for a period of time. However, after finding Bellia alive, and finding her side of the story, from her reasoning for leaving Maxi, and how her clairvoyance had aided Maxi in finding Diana, Maxi has begun to reach out to Cascade once more. ]-
-Ignacio:
\\: Maxi was raised by her grandmothers, and the one she was closest to was an escaped Aodhian slave. Her grandmother had been blessed by Ignacio when she was at her worst, gaining the power to create illusions. She had honed this blessing, and used it to help her escape to Serora, where she married and found happiness. Owing this happiness to Ignacio, and the blessing he gave her, she was deeply devout and raised Maxi to be the same, teaching her about the good sides of Ignacio, and how he represented pride, creativity, and love. Maxi grew up with Ignacio as her second patron god, holding the good sides of his personality close to her heart. She never spoke of this freely however, only telling her closest friends about this. Prays to him at times of low self-esteem and when working on a creative project.
Maxi, without fulling realizing it, imagines Ignacio as a strange cross between an Aodhian and Seroran interpretation of the god. To her, he has long, front curving antlers wreathed in multicolor flame, warm eyes that resemble dancing flames with a black sclarea, and black scales with cracks that reveal warm flame broiling underneath. His tail is long and covered in black hair that fades to the color of flame. She sees him with the conformation of an Arabian.
-[ Currently torn about her worship. The war with Aodh hurts her, and she still is very loyal to both Ignacio and Alya. However, she feels that, because of how the rest of her herd treats Aodh and her patron, she has to pick a side and abandon one of the gods. ]-
-Digend:
\\: Has heard little more than fearful whispers about Digend. Knows that the god represents change and starting over, but also knows about the bloodlust of the cultists. Doubtful in Digend’s existence.
-[ Recent events, with her being torn between Alya and Ignacio, Maxi has been tempted to try to reach out the Digend to try to see if neither side is the right way to turn. However, she ultimately decided she would do this by herself, and resolve her spiritual issues without the aid of a tumultuous new god she knows little about. ]-

-Personality- Campaigner (ENFP-t)
Extraverted, intuitive, emotional, prospecting and turbulent
+: Lawful Good :+
\\:+Positive+://
Extroverted and easygoing, finding it easy to get along with others, making her a natural in social situations. Loyal to a fault towards her family, willing to do anything to help them. Persistent, rairly giving up despite poor odds, and picking up right where she left off after being torn away from her goal.
\\:~Neutral~://
Adventurous and playful, with a foal-like curiosity and energy towards life, bringing along an element of naivety. Emotional and, as an extension, empathetic towards others. Her emotions control her, and she often gets too caught up in empathizing with others, making her prone to second hand trauma. A total dreamer, her head is constantly in the clouds and wondering about what’s to come.
\\:-Negative-://
Clingyand obsessive towards those she loves, born out of a fear of abandonment and losing her loved ones. Easily stressed by outside emotional stimuli, and prone to crumbling under the pressure of said stress. Impulsive and moving mostly on the the whims of her emotions, she doesn’t know how to stifle herself if she wants something. Resentful towards those who have broken her’s, or those close to her’s trust, and has a hard time forgiving. If she does decide to forgive, she will never forget.
-[ Developed Traits ]-
Conflicted about her beliefs, from religious, to political, to moral. Often stays up at night pondering what’s right.
-History-
I was born in the heart of Alya’s desert, shielded from the midday heat by my mother’s tent. I do not remember the moments of birth, but I remember the stories my grandmothers told me about how my eyes, the same reflective colors of my father’s, looked upon my parents, my pupils large with curiosity and wonder. My mother and father, however, didn’t stay by my side for very long after I entered the world. Mere weeks after I had been weaned off of my mother’s milk, they returned to their jobs- my father a windracer who constantly travelled around the whole of Serora, and my mother a Fury who never seemed to step away from her job. They visited when they could, but they were simply just too busy to stay at home and raise a young foal.
However, my foalhood was the happiest I could have ever wanted it to be. My father’s mothers, two mares named Rei and Maxx, Maxx being my namesake, raised me. Rei taught me to smile and to never grow up, and Maxx taught me about the gods and to keep hope when all seems dark.
Maxx, when I came of age, told me her story. She told me about how she was born within Aodh, and how she was born to serve. She described how she was taught how to fight for show, how to make her hits entertaining and bloody. She fought within the Crucible, as she called it, for years, before finally a fight went wrong and she left the pits with a leg broken beyond repair. She told me about how she had woken up with a gilded prosthetic attached to her limb, which had ended up being severed from her body. She told me of how she had wept silently in the nights, hating herself and her life, praying to the only god she had ever known- Ignacio.
I had shivered at his name when she first said it. All others I had met treated his existence, and sometimes even his very name as a terrifying thing, but Maxx spoke it with fondness, as if she were speaking of a father figure. She taught me then, as she saw the fear in my eyes, that Ignacio was not a force to be feared. In one of the days of her new life, she had visited a Sanctum with her master. During the visit, she had prayed deeply to Ignacio, begging him for help, for a way out of the life she hated so much. He had graced her with the power to create illusions in response to this, and Maxx took it as a possible way out, honing the ability and eventually using her power to help escape Aodh.
She told me about how this blessing had paved the way to making it to Serora, and that her new life there had brought her immeasurable joy- a son, a wife, a new life, and now a granddaughter, and she owed this joy to the god who had blessed her. Ignacio, the very creature so many feared.
Her story brought me to believe Ignacio to be a benevolent force, and I began to worship him next to Alya, the other I had been taught to pray to.
As the years went by, I flourished under my grandmother’s guidance, and began to see my parents more and more as they began to grow more relaxed with their jobs.
As I entered my teenage years, my grandmothers decided it was time for my to visit the capital- Osulas. This trip very much changed the course of my life, even if I didn’t realize it at the beginning. Exploring the city was a joy to me- I had never seen anything like the hustle and bustle of it all, and I grew enamoured with it.
The chaos of the city, however, was not the only thing I grew enamoured with while I was there. I met a young travelling bard, only a year older than I was, during my visit, and I had never been so obsessed with a mare before in my life. We talked for hours, and though conversation seemed strained at first, as we grew more comfortable with each other, the words began to flow like a river, laughing and talking for hours as we began to explore the city together. She told me her name was Belliah, that she had been wandering alone since she was fifteen, and from the moment she had been born, Cascade had blessed her with the ability to see glimpses of the future. With a laugh and a smile, Bellia told me that I was a sight she had been seeing in her visions for the past few weeks.
Me and her became partners in crime, dancing around the city of Osulas during my two week visit, causing all sorts of young, dumb trouble as we fell in love.
By the time I was supposed to go, we had declared ourselves a couple, much to the happy amusement of my grandmothers, and as we dove back into the fiery expanse of Sedo’s desert, Bellia came with, joining our travelling band. The next two years slipped away like sand between my hooves, and on my eighteenth birthday, with both my parents and grandmother’s approval, I proposed to Bellia, and we were married shortly after. My wedding day was the happiest I remember being, our pale, white-blonde manes braided together and woven with wildflowers and beads filled with prayers to our Patron gods.
The next few chapters of my live were happy, and I, for once, was content and settled down. She and I took to raising goats, and we guided our little flock through the sparse areas of green while taking care of my grandmothers.
Life was good, but, as it often does, turned sour.
The sun rose upon the desert one morning, the dry air already as hot as Ignacio’s fires, and as a beam of light touched my body, I noticed my love to be missing. It was not uncommon, as she often got up early to chase a missing goat, or simply to enjoy the sunrise and the cooler air of the morning.
But she did not return.
Less than a day after her disappearance, one of the worst sandstorms I had experienced in all my years in Sedo tore across the land, erasing all footprints I could have followed, and turning the day lethal to any wandering the desert alone.
The days began to pass all too quickly, and no sign of Belliah arose.
Every day I would search until my hooves cracked from dryness, and until my eyes turned red from the heat, sand, and tears I would shed as my efforts continued to be fruitless. My grandmothers searched with me, and my father and mother joined the search, her soaring through the sky and him wandering the desert on his windboard as we desperately searched for anything.
Three months slipped by, and nothing turned up. With a heavy heart, my father told me that it was most likely she had been lost in the sandstorm, then buried in the sand after she had died.
I cried for weeks, my heart broken and my faith shattered.
How could Belliah have been lost?
Did Cascade hide the vision of the storm from her?
How did that escape her sight, which had never guided her wrong before?
For months I tried to continue my life that I had built, but herding the goats was no longer the same without her laughter, or her quiet beauty and grace she had about her, or even her foul mouth as she cursed the desert sands she had never gotten used to. It felt empty.
So I returned to the city that I had fallen in love with as a filly.
Osulas.
My grandmothers followed me to the city, as they were old and did not wish to live alone in the middle of the desert. We travelled carefully, first finding the great river, then following it’s shores so we never lacked water or food to graze. Finally, our bodies exhausted from the journey, and my heart both heavy from loss, yet hopeful for a new life, we arrived into the great capital.
They found their own home, and I began to live alone, building my life up once more.
Brick by brick, day by day, I will find myself again.
I will make it through this, and I will live and love once more.
-In Game History-
After moving to Osulas, she begins to work as an art hobbyist, specializing in body art. She designed and applied tattoos, did body painting, and clipped coats for others, and fell in love with it.
Lived in the city for a few years, and began to date Diana after a trip to The Nest leaves her hardcore crushing on the silver savior. They get along great, and fall hard for each other, but eventually have to be torn away due to the war and Diana's job.
While Diana is gone in Aquore, helping with the fight against the Flight, Maxi encounters Belliah, her wife she had assumed to be dead. Shocked and still in love, she can barely find the words to speak to her, but Belliah begs Maxi to come back to her so that they can have their old life back. Maxi almost follows through, leaving her home to try to rejoin Belliah. However, on her way to meet her ex-wife, she hears Diana has returned. From there, she tears through Osulas to find her girlfriend, and, upon reuniting with her, Diana can tell Maxi's heart isn't fully there. She tells Maxi to leave, and while Maxi is tempted, she stays by Diana. They have a fight that ends far more heated than they originally intended, and, unbeknownst to the two, Diana falls pregnant.
Alya's return leaves Maxi conflicted. She doesn't want war with Aodh and wants to continue to worship Ignacio, but Alya's urging to war leaves her feeling as if she must pick a side.
