Personality:
Dolce is definitely a show pony.
Snooty, sassy, and judgemental, Dolce knows exactly how pretty she is, and she knows how to use it. Handlers swear she tuts and harrumphs more than she neighs. She can be very standoffish, and will avoid other horses in the paddock - squealing and kicking if anyone gets too close. Dolce takes a very long time to warm up to new people and horses, especially people that are too pushy from the get go. Dolce can also be temperamental to handle - if her handler doesn’t know exactly what they’re doing, she can tell immediately, and she’ll exploit any weaknesses she can find until they give up and let her get back to her business. It’s definitely a mind game to attempt to get her to co-operate. She’s going to be a handful under saddle.

Despite her mare-y tendancies, Dolce is something of a busybody - she won’t overtly socialise much, but she is a stickybeak and has to know where the entire herd is and what they’re doing at any time. She likes to be in control, which can lead to some separation anxiety when she or anyone else is removed from the pasture (less anxiety and more fury to the beholder).
It’s rather surprising, especially since she is meticulous about keeping her blanket clean, but Dolce doesn’t mind getting dirty, especially when it’s required to make some mischief.
She hates to admit it, but she loves her mane being groomed and messed with. (It’s the poodle in her).
