I used a lot of acrylic paint to get it right. Tennis balls have a lot of fluff, so most of the paint was used in making said fluff to not puff out. Now that I think about it, that's probably a really inconvenient method of painting it over and over again, but what can I say; it's been like 3-4 years since I made this.
