10:30 p.m.
Arbok, Sapphire and I were just leaving the headlining show of the weekend. This was the end of one of the largest music festivals in the United States, but there were very few people attending because of a storm front due to show up at any time.
“So where are we going for dinner, Dan? I don't know about you two, but I'm starving!” Sapphire chuckled.
“I'm not too sure, yet. Depends on where all the traffic goes. I don't want my charger anywhere close to a parking lot full of drunks,” I said, sounding like I could pass out at any minute.
“You know you don't have to drive, Dan,” Arbok spoke. “Sapphire is plenty big enough to carry us both to a restaurant. And besides, remember what happened last time you drove that car at night?”
Arbok was, of course, referring to the time when I was pulled over on the interstate, having doubled the speed limit due to street racing. I could never turn down the opportunity to go up against anyone just to prove that old American muscle cars are still a dominant force on the streets. To cut a long story short, I had, and still have, a need for speed. I remembered having to plead with the officer to arrest me just for a week rather than impound the car, which would guarantee some kind of damage.
“Alright, alright, at least let me park the car over behind the gas station where no one will see it,” I suggested, which was fine by the both of them.
As we reached the car, I hopped in and turned the key, which fired up a fire breathing 440 V8 almost instantly. I cut between a few cars, dashed across the street and into a darkened parking lot, void of any activity for years. After locking it up, I hurried back across the street to where they were waiting. Then Arbok and I hopped onto Sapphire's back and took to the skies.
11:05 p.m.
“Selas, come on! They close in like 20 minutes. We need to hurry!” Sammy said as she urged her trainer, Selas, out of the crowded parking lot, narrowly avoiding cars driven by people that were too drunk to even stand.
“Don't worry, it's only a mile or so away. Once we get to the sidewalk we'll be fine,” he said as he crossed through a hole in a surrounding chain link fence. They too had watched the last show of the night, but were up in front, right in front of the stage. It took forever to navigate through the herd of concert goers, but nevertheless, they had made it.
Finally, they made it to the sidewalk. The two then head towards a Burger King at the edge of town. “I got to admit, this is very different from back home,” Selas nodded as he opened the front door.
“Yeah, but at least the food's nice,” Sammy agreed, flicking a slight wink at Selas as she spoke.
11:13 p.m.
“Do you see anything good?” asked Arbok.
Sapphire just shook her head, but then nose-dived to the ground, only slowing down a couple hundred feet before impact. She landed outside a Burger King, the only one close that allowed non-human customers inside.
“Hey, you're not going to drain my wallet this time. I'm in charge!” I said as I hopped off Sapphire's back. I momentarily turned my head, making a face at Arbok as I moved to push the door open, just as somebody on the other side suddenly pulled it open! “Oh shoot, this is gonna HURT!” I yelled as I stumbled and fell forwards.
11:15 p.m.
Holding the packaged food in one arm, Selas was leading Sammy out of the burger joint as they were talking about the interesting choices the place had to offer. Selas reached out with his free arm and pushed the door open, turning his head and getting a shock as somebody suddenly stumbled in front of him.
“Oh shoot, this is gonna HURT!” the newcomer shouted as he fell to the ground. Sammy gasped and quickly tossed one of her coils in front of him before impact, barely preventing him from hitting the concrete floor face first.
I winced and threw my hands out to catch myself as I fell, but I landed on something soft, and cold. Without thinking, I just lay there and held onto the scaly, serpentine body that had caught me.
“Whew. Thanks for the save, Arbok,” I blinked as I carefully got up, my vision a bit rattled from the fall.
“Uh, that wasn't me. It was actually...” Arbok replied as I rubbed my eyes.
Once I could see clearly, my jaw almost hit the ground as I saw my actual saviour.
“Oh uh, sorry, my bad Sammy...” I apologised, starstruck.
Sammy shrugged. “Oh, don't be. You okay? And how do you know me?” she asked, a bit worried and intrigued at the same time.
“Oh, I'm subscribed to your dA page. I couldn't help myself but read up on great battles and other events.”
Sammy giggled shyly, and Selas grinned. “Well, it's nice to meet a fan of ours face to face. Should we head back inside?” he offered as he gestured back into the Burger King.
(The Extra-Terrestrial Anonymity wRiter In Space stared at the story, wondering how in the world a fanfiction story had just broken the fourth wall by saying a fan was subscribed to his page. Absent-mindedly biting into a double-chicken and cheese burger, he decided to fix the fourth wall up later after he had finished reading...)
12:03 a.m.
After tipping the waitress, Sammy, Selas, Sapphire, Arbok and I left the restaurant, feeling satisfied.
“So do you guys want to crash at my place? I have a spare bedroom you could stay in,” I offered.
“Yeah, you'll love it! Besides, I'm fairly certain you two don't want to go to a hotel tonight, especially around here,” Sapphire blurted out.
“Sure, I think we'll take your offer,” Selas nodded. “I kind of forgot to book in before we got here anyway. I take it we're flying with Sapphire?” he looked over at the dragoness.
“Yeah, I'll fly us home. But you two can ride in comfort,” Sapphire spoke with enthusiasm. Before either Selas or I could say a word, she opened wide and scooped us both up at the same time, then swallowed us quickly.
Sammy blinked, a bit startled at first as she watched her trainer sliding down into the dragon's belly. “Oh,” she murmured, then smirked slightly. “Like you were still hungry. You both okay in there?”
I laughed. “We'll be okay, Sammy. I've done this with Sapphire plenty of times...I'm sure she just got excited.” I rubbed the right side of Sapphire's stomach where Sammy could clearly see it, as I glanced at Selas who looked a bit startled from the sudden accommodation.
“Sorry about that, Selas. I thought you knew. Want me to let you out?” Sapphire spoke quietly.
“Nah, you can wait until we get back to your home. I kinda like it in here.” Selas replied, eventually finding his smile again.
9:30 a.m.
Selas and Sammy woke up in a bed together, both of them curled up under the blankets.
Sammy yawned and stretched with a smile aimed at Selas. “Too bad you fell asleep on the way home last night,” she giggled. “I was looking forward to a good midnight snack,” she teased.
“So it wasn't a dream? Well, I'm glad to know we're not the only ones who do that,” Selas chuckled as he rolled out of bed quickly, knowing where this was going to go. With Sammy hot on his heels, he ran downstairs and into the kitchen.
Arbok and I were already awake and preparing breakfast, smiling as we saw our guests arrive. “So how did you sleep last night?” Arbok asked.
“We slept great, thanks. You?” Sammy asked with a grin.
“Same here,” Arbok nodded. “Care for some pancakes?”
“Sure, it wouldn't be proper to turn them down.” Selas replied.
10:00 a.m.
Strangely, neither Arbok or Sammy had hardly touched any food during breakfast. While they were engaging in conversation, they had barely eaten anything while Selas and I ate up.
After we had both finished, Arbok locked eyes with Selas and winked with a devious smile.
“Uhhhhh...is there something I should know about?” Selas asked curiously.
“Welllllll...if you knew it wouldn't be as fun,” Arbok replied as she glanced at Sammy, and they both nodded. Before either of us could attempt to stand up, or even get away, Arbok coiled up around Selas while Sammy curled around me.
“We may have organised a trade last night while you two were inside Sapphire,” Sammy giggled as she playfully poked me in the back of my head with her crystallised tail-tip.
Selas just smiled and rubbed Arbok's scales since he knew it would be impossible to get away from her anyway. “Well, I guess we haven't got a choice anyway, have we? Even if we tried, we'd just end up in the usual place anyway.”
I laughed as I knew Selas had a point, knowing that this was going to be the first time I would experience the inside of a Shivaconda's belly.
Arbok looked down at Selas. “Well, at least you're honest about it,” she chuckled. She then opened her mouth and slowly engulfed him, pulling him in inch by inch until his feet disappeared down her throat.
While Arbok traced his form with her tail, Sammy then looked down at me with her big, goofy smile. “Ready?” she asked as her head calmly swayed over me.
“Yeah, I am. Could you start at my feet though? I slept a little strange last night and I think I can get a little more comfy if you take me in feet first,” I asked, barely able to keep a straight face.
She nodded and then flipped me around so she could start swallowing me. As my hands started to pass between her lips though, I playfully grabbed onto her lower jawline and start to pull myself out, already laughing since I knew I wouldn't win.
“You sly little man, you know I like a challenge, do ya?” Sammy laughed as I continued to pull myself out, my hips now slipping back into her mouth. She smiled and tilted her head back, then motioned towards Arbok for help. Arbok began to pry my fingers off their grip as Sammy continued to pull me down.
Either from fatigue or from saliva, I lost my grip and I slid down quickly into Sammy's awaiting belly. “Arbok, you traitor!” I joked.
“Well, you shouldn't have resisted. You should know by now that a lady always wins, and this was no exception,” Arbok replied as she rubbed the bulge I made in Sammy's belly. Content with their squirming meals, Sammy and Arbok curled up on the living room floor side by side, content with their own breakfast for the day. It was great having found new friends in their own special way.
