Description Oh my colored pencils, how I've missed you TT_TT
I've been doing more digital work, trying to "expand my techniques." Which is all fine and good, except that drawing with my colored pencils again feels like coming home. So happy. I will continue to learn the digital ropes, but COLORED PENCILS FOREVER.

Anyway, Skitty was a Pokemon I really disliked at first, and I don't even remember why. I think I just had a general aversion toward Hoenn, because (when I was still watching the show) Misty had left, and I couldn't stand the new girl May and her brother.
And many of the Pokemon looked weird. (Awesome Legendary Dog trio to .... machine-robot guys?) However, over the years Skitty has grown to be QUITE a cutie for me. I wouldn't mind to have one as a pet. Not at all.

Awww!! I'm really impressed with your coloring here; it's clear how many colors you used to get the shading perfect. I love that you added hints of green and purple to the reds and pinks--most people just shade with a darker color of what they've used. You seem to have amazing potential as a colored pencil artist. Keep it up!!

This really means a lot to me! I'm so glad you noticed the different colors I used to get the shading. I always feel the most at home when I'm drawing with colored pencils. It's fun to mix the colors that way and I find that harder to do in Photoshop or even with watercolors.

I think you're right, it is harder to shade like you did here digitally because the colors meld together, and you can't really see all the different colors used. So yeah, more colored pencil drawings WOO!

My favorite part of this is definitely the reflections, just because it looks like an actual reflection, which is so hard to do with traditional art.
Of course, the Skitties are adorable, too. They look so happy!
