Actually, it's Wilson.Β At the end of the game, when you set Maxwell free, Wilson gets trapped on the throne and Maxwell takes his place in the wilderness.Β

And the crazy thing is that if you go back into adventure mode with Maxwell, all the way back to the throne, he'll look at Wilson (still struggling and bound to the chair) and say "Better him than me." Nevermind that he probably has two points of health left...
